7 YEARS OF GRLSWIRL!!!!!!! Wow… 7 years. What started as a small group of us skating together has grown into one of the largest women’s skate collectives in the world. We never set out to be a brand, to be well-known, or to make a living from this. We set out to find community—and in doing so, we built something bigger than any of us could have imagined. We built GRLSWIRL out of pure passion—risking everything, reinvesting it all, and working countless jobs just to keep the dream alive. Not for money, not for fame, but because we believe we can unify the world through skateboarding. Hundreds of people have stepped on a board for the first time because of this movement. We’ve built chapters, held events, and grown a global community—all powered by passion, not profit. GRLSWIRL is a mission-driven social enterprise and a nonprofit, @swirlskatefoundation , making sure that skateboarding is not just for some, but for all. And none of this happens without you. To our founders, chapter leaders, team riders, volunteers, brand partners, advisors, friends, and every single skater who has ever shown up, supported, or believed in us—we see you. We see every “okay” skater who keeps showing up, every new rider finding their confidence, every person helping to hold this space. This movement is nothing without its people. Thank you for being part of it. Here’s to 7 years, and everything still ahead. 💙

Working out of our garage, hand painting everything, wearing 2937 hats doing everything with no investors, fueled by pure passion for using skate as a tool for change… nothing about GRLSWIRL is fancy - it’s DIY and scrappy and beautiful in every way. That’s thanks to an amazing team of hard working humans refusing to give up - big love to all our small biz and non profits hustling out there!

That’s a wrap on the World’s Okayest Skater Tour and we’re still catching our breath. This was the most impactful, exhausting, and beautiful thing we’ve ever done. Over 1,800 women came out to skate. We donated 50+ @carverskate . Taught 300 kids to skate. Poured every ounce of our energy, love, and resources into this global garden of community through skate and it’s blooming!! The best part? Gardeners are everywhere now. From Bangkok to Bogotá, Phoenix to Peru — people are building, leading, and showing up for each other on boards. 🌍🛹 To our partners who made this possible — @electrolit , @carverskate , all the nonprofits, local crews, skaters, and humans who showed up and gave their all — thank you.
