NAILS! Co-published by Secret Riso Club and Superblooom* details the origins of the Vietnamese nail salon in the United States. Inspired by the momentous research done by Adele Pham in her documentary, “Nailed It”, we wanted to share the legacy of salon pioneers Charli Vo and Olivett Robinson as a story of intercommunity friendship that has become a living example of what solidarity between women-of-color can build. By examining the artistry and labor behind nail work, “NAILS!” challenges preconceived notions of what constitutes meaningful cultural and artistic contributions. As we highlight the craft of nail artwork and modern nail technicians, “NAILS!” seeks to subvert the traditional hyper-masculine aesthetics in radical spaces and provides a newer perspective on what resistance, community, and solidarity can look like. hey friends! im back presenting my second book this year, ăn cơm chưa! this project was a long procrastination of love and labor, and most of all, a reminder of home and my family. ăn cơm chưa is a zine exploring the ideas of memory and time through food. in the summer of 2024, i traveled to vietnam to meet my grandmother in person for the first time… ever in my life. through our meeting, i hoped to understand her story and recreate dishes that have traveled with my mom over the years. this project became an intimate photo essay that details the relationship with my grandmother and rekindles our estranged bond through food. thank you to my @sprblooom team for continuous support through production. this was not an easy one… thank you to @1080press for an amazing print job as we stretched to the final minutes of the book fair and a big big thank you to photographers who were able to capture my vision @tuankiet.23 @sinhvatsong @nyebui @this_is_doanh ăn cơm chưa variable dimensions single point binding, binder ring 66 pages, digital inkjet and risograph edition 1 available this weekend in LA for @printedmatter_artbookfairs

This is my pale blue heart, Every Chinatown has one. A store selling vaguely recognizable character goods, ceramics, & other houseware. Growing up, most of the things I owned were from stores just like that. I recognized these stores as places where the feeling of ‘nostalgia’ was born. That sense of longing for something familiar. ‘Bliss Store’ is an homage to that feeling, an ‘everything’ zine on untold intimacy, spirituality, growing up, & keepsakes. I imagined a room where everything remains, filled with: old wedding photos, plushed dolls, & good luck charms. Items that are given meaning only through adoration & years of life. Selected poetry & photos that have gained permanence through nostalgia (from during & before my time). this is 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙤𝙨 𝙩𝙮𝙥𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙩 — a ‘self portraiture’ book about the internet and performance. my work recently has been so involved with how we perceive ourselves through digital space. who are we when we enter the realm of ‘online’ and who we present ourselves to be. i began working on this book a few months ago almost as a joke. it was just a newborn meme but now it’s finally here, materialized. this book explores self humiliation rituals and perception of the ‘self’ on the internet. we are truly curators of aesthetics now and this is what that is. a huge thank you to jenn (@3nsoi ) as always for helping push production. and my wonderful production support @colinv.nguyen @holding_____hands im extremely excited to say i’ll be presenting this project @printedmatter_artbookfairs LA in may with @sprblooom if you’re interested in reserving a copy for shipping, please dm me. young hos type shit 5 x 7” 80 pages, digital inkjet edition 1

MAY 1ST is the beginning of AAPI Heritage Month, and Jamborazo is celebrating by collaborating with the Viet-American publishing collective Superblooom (@sprblooom )! It’s also May Day, a day to celebrate workers and labor organizing. So there will be a lot of other orgs at the park distributing food and zines as well as teaching workshops! Superblooom’s @amplifiedheart102 🇻🇳, Revolution’s (@revolutionrva ) @sadomasokizm 🇨🇳, and professional aura farmer @lagswtch 🇵🇭 are joining resident DJ @justroyal_mst 🇭🇰🇻🇳 on the 1’s and 2’s and bringing each of their unique tastes in dance music! We’re also excited to have Superblooom editor/writer and Richmond icon @swilliamsj as our host to guide us through the evening! Our friends from @hiddentile are also bringing some mahjong tables out for some casual play! Be sure to arrive early to get a seat! We will have a zine-making station, a variety of vendors, and chalk for you to draw to your hearts content! Even if you’re not dancing there’ll be plenty to do!
