We officially moved into our new studio and today marks our first full week at Sevendale House, right in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
It’s more than a change of address.
It’s a space that reflects how we work, collaboratively, purposefully, and with people at the centre of everything we do.
Plenty to come this year across workplace, hospitality, civic and stadia design, but for now, we’re unpacked, inspired, and ready for what’s next.

Buile Hill Mansion, Salford.
A Grade II-listed building fully restored and reimagined as a civic and hospitality destination, bringing together café, bar and event spaces within a renewed historic setting.
Working alongside @salford_council , and @buttressarchitects , the project combines extensive architectural renovation with a new interior approach shaped around hospitality, atmosphere and flexibility.
Inside, a series of connected spaces balance restored features with a more contemporary, hospitality-led language. Soft Georgian-inspired tones, layered materials and bespoke detailing run throughout, with references to the surrounding parkland and The Secret Garden woven into the scheme.
A project that brings together restoration, interior design and everyday use.

A bit of a special night at the BCO Northern Awards
Great to see two SpaceInvader projects recognised across three categories.
The Renold Building at @sister_manchester received a Highly Commended in the Refurbished Recycled Workplace category, before also being awarded the Innovation Award by the judges.
Chancery Place, Manchester, designed for @overburyplc , was named winner in the Projects up to 2,500m² category.

BCO Northern Awards Spotlight: 13th Floor, Chancery Place, Manchester
One of our three shortlisted SpaceInvader projects.
What happens when a workplace needs to do more than just support day-to-day work?
For @overburyplc , its Manchester HQ needed to support project delivery, welcome clients, and reflect the standard they deliver, all within a compact floorplate.
The layout is organised as a series of connected settings, allowing different ways of working to sit alongside each other.
Each setting has a clear role.
A retrofit-first approach retained over 60% of existing elements, supported by low carbon materials and a strategy aligned to SKA and WELL principles.
The result isn’t just an office.
It’s a working example of how Overbury operates, and the standard they deliver to clients.

A 1960s university building, reworked into a 4,366 sqm innovation hub.
Over 95% of furniture, fittings and materials retained and repurposed, shaping not just the look, but how the building works.
Designed to support multiple uses over time: coworking, private suites, events and public space all able to adapt as the Sister district evolves.
Because reuse isn’t just about reducing impact.
It’s about creating something more flexible, more resourceful and more resilient.

Workplace Fit-Out of the Year at the Insider Media North West Property Awards 2026.
Designed for Virgin Media O2’s Manchester HQ at @islandmcr , this 50,000 sq ft, five-floor workplace started with people, shaped through co-creation and grounded in how the team work, move and connect.
From the central bleacher stair to the “Ribbon of Oxygen” running through the open plan, the design brings together identity, accessibility and everyday usability in a way that feels built in, not added on.
