Building on BCO Scotland’s rich conference legacy (1999, 2002 and 2009), Andy is shaping a programme designed to inspire, challenge and connect delegates through two extraordinary days of insight, experience and discovery.

Taking place in Edinburgh on 17–18 June, BCO will convene the workspace sector to explore what comes next.
Delegates will step into both Edinburgh and Glasgow, with tours spanning Charlotte Square, the Edinburgh Futures Institute and the evolving business parks of West Edinburgh.
Plenary sessions will explore opportunities for cities in 2026 and the realities of office development in regional centres. Concurrent workshops tackle social value, people over architecture, creative mixed-use partnerships, the BCO data revolution, and much, much more.

Frances takes over from the esteemed Rob Harris and brings deep experience, long-standing involvement with the BCO, and a strong members’ perspective to the role. We look forward to the insight and leadership she will bring as the committee continues to shape the BCO’s research agenda.

Lauren takes home a ticket to next year’s BCO conference in Scotland, chaired by Andy McBain.
Held at @hawkins_brown Clerkenwell studio, the event celebrated six inspiring, human-centred ideas redefining the future workplace.
Through months of hard work and imagination, their ideas were sharpened by mentorship, public speaking training and an aim to make work better for everyone.

Happy National Dog Day! Thanks to @samanthamcclary for reminding us that today is the perfect excuse to celebrate some of BCO HQ’s favourite four-legged colleagues. We couldn’t let it pass without putting together a little photo album in their honour.
Whether your pup has been by your side for years or you’ve just welcomed a new companion, today is all about recognising the incredible role dogs play in our lives - from offering unconditional love and stress relief, to supporting people with disabilities, assisting in search and rescue missions, and even detecting health conditions.
