Design that cares: The Nook by SAMH ✨
Lighting isn’t just functional – it shapes emotion, behaviour and connection. At The Nook – the first of Scotland’s new network of walk-in mental health support hubs created by @samhscotland , this philosophy guided every decision.
Our team proudly developed a lighting scheme to balance calm, comfort and adaptability within a welcoming, home-like environment. The design centred on our three-circuit linear suspended track system, forming a flexible backbone that allows the space to evolve throughout the day.
Nova 50 track spotlights deliver focused, adjustable light, helping to define different zones and create moments of visual interest, while slimline track systems finished to match the interior palette ensure a seamless architectural integration. These layers of light support both the sensory requirements of visitors and the practical needs of the SAMH team – proof that lighting can be both empathetic and efficient.
The result is a joyful, light-filled space that feels grounded and human – a true reflection of how design can care.

The newly installed @bettergymconnswater scheme brings together a family of Light Forms products, each chosen to support a specific zone and activity.
We proudly supplied the following products:
▪️ Moondband 40 – curved, layered rings suspended over the main gym floor, creating a sculptural focal point that suggests movement while delivering direct and indirect light.
▪️ Five Bow H with Flat Lens – linear runs aligned with the 13 metre turf track and functional training zone to reinforce direction and pace during high-intensity sessions.
▪️ Value Down – downlights providing clear, welcoming illumination through entrance and circulation areas, guiding members intuitively through the space
▪️ Nova Medium 62 – suspended fittings defining the Members’ Hub with a softer layer of light that supports social interaction and recovery
▪️ Target Line – surface-mounted luminaires in the free weights area delivering focused, practical illumination while maintaining a clean visual language
