Creating a mix of environmental portrait & headshots to make sure we get every detail of this gorgeous look! This was achieved with the sharp details of my Sony camera and the super versatile 24-105. Paired with a poeerful location light balanced with the natural light so that we create sharp, beautiful contrasts that really make this look POP! Seeing this outfit come to life was so amazing! Over a month ago I was at @luvparismontana in Red Lodge figuring out looks for the Western Portrait Experience with @bozemancamera . I wanted to make sure every detail of the event was authentic and true to Montana lifestyle. Where do I even start????! @bozemancamera and @sonyalpha put a lot of trust in me to host a portrait workshop with them, and I'm so glad they did. I am forever grateful to @sony.hawk , @camera_takes_photos , and @niahrosephoto for getting me involved with our local camera store. I taught the basics of studio and off camera flash and let everyone have hands-on practice with our models. Niah taught us how to "Look for the Light" with both continuous LEDs and natural light. The early access special with @sonyalphafemale was FULL and full of wonderful women with creative visions! This was Sony Alpha Females first joint event with a camera store workshop, so we made some history! You all proved to us that you're eager to learn new things, connect with other creatives, and support our local community. The photos that have been pouring in from everyone have been phenomenal to see and share. All of my photos I took with my Sony A7IV With the 28-70mm f/2 GM from the lens bar. My light is the @flashpointlighting Flashpoint XPLOR 600 SE from @adorama with a 36" softbox. The reflector is a 5-in-1 medium sized used mostly on the white side to fill in shadows. If I could ask one thing from all of you, is that you go and support @bozemancamera . While spending the day in the store with them, I learned a lot about the incredible things they can do from repairs, cleanings, firmware updates, special orders, discounts only available with them, and just how passionate Marshall is about his store, employees, customers, and overall quality of care. The value they provide is unmatched. Had to pop in to @bozemancamera for a visit to talk about our event, play with some of the gear we'll be using and let you all know how excited we are! I promise I'm way more excited than I sound in this 🤩 While I was there, Luke taught me about the storytelling lenses vs. the detail ones. And I got to learn about why and how the new 50-150mm f2 GM is just SO. DANG. FAST! As someone who's impatient and likes to rapid shoot sometimes, this lens is a game changer!!
