Nothing felt better than our first hot shower at Colter Bay Village after washing with frigid water since our first stop in Glacier.
The Tetons held our favorite campground of the trip. Signal Mountain Campground was right by the lake, where we found ourselves beginning and ending most days. When we cooked, we were met by roaming deer and foxes who inhabit the area. In the evenings, we must have come at the right season because there also wasn’t a mosquito in sight.
If you’re here, don’t miss the chance to see sunrise touch these mountains. It was truly spectacular.

Everything on our Yellowstone adventures truly went according to plan, except for our sunrise bike ride our first morning in the park. We did our due diligence checking the weather the night before, only seeing a 5% chance of precipitation. It rained a bit while we slept but we woke to calmer clouds.
The air was crisp as we rode but when we made it to Lamar Valley, we were met by a huge rainstorm. We ran off the road to take shelter under a small cluster of trees in the valley and the absurdity of it all made me laugh. Thankfully we packed hot cocoa makings in the bike bags so we had something warm to hold us over as the rain passed, as seen in slide 2 held by @dirt.fairy.shay

Avalanche Lake served as our base camp for our time in Glacier. After thoroughly stretching our legs at Grinnell Glacier, having another beautiful alpine lake to rest at for the better part of the day was divine.
When we returned to our camp from the lake, we attempted to shower with the cold remains of our water cube over a five gallon bucket which has made me forever grateful for the invention of the water heater.

A great learning moment to say the least using the GW690, which does not have a light meter in the rangefinder.
