My first Kickstarter ended yesterday. Because of 664 backers who believed in this project, @cascadehighbook is 275% funded and my first large-format photography book has been given life. Along the way, we raised $3,485 for @washingtontrails . More trails protected, public lands defended, and doors opened to people who belong outdoors. Because everyone belongs in the mountains. And because the power of mountains, stories, and shared journeys can change lives. They changed mine.
None of this happens without you. Not the book, not the donation, not any of it.

In barely 24 hours, Cascade High just hit 100% funded. Over 240 backers. Blown. Away. 🤯
THANK YOU to everyone who backed, shared, or came out to Seattle last night. But (!) the campaign runs for 22 more days, and here’s why that matters:
Every dollar beyond the goal makes the book better, for every backer, no matter when you pledged. At 150%, all copies get upgraded to 200 GSM paper, heavier, richer, more archival, at no extra cost to backers, and no change to timeline. More funding = a better book. And if momentum keeps up, there may be more goals to follow, but one step at a time.

After more than a decade in the Cascade Range, this book is officially live on Kickstarter today. For every book backed, $5 goes to @washingtontrails – giving back to the trails and greater landscapes that give so much to us.
Back in the first 48 hours (by 11am Pacific on Thursday) and receive a complimentary digital map of the 100 Bulger peaks – print-ready up to 11×8.5”.
