Introducing our world of sonic exploration ⚡️ A one day festival celebrating boundary-pushing electronic music and avant-garde sound.
Curated by Sean Mclusky, Peter Morris, and Kevin Quigley, we’re bringing a
unique line-up of artists to four of Soho’s most distinct new creative spaces. @allisjoysoho@schneiderskeller@farsightgallery + @below.stonenest@stonenest_ldn
For our first year, Soho Electronic is headlined by Daniel Miller (Mute) (@tnml001 ) a true original synth pioneer, this will be a rare UK solo performance of his unfolding modular compositions.

I was heartbroken to miss the very first @sohoelectronic , after being taken into hospital just days before I was unable to perform. Grateful beyond words to @violet.savage and @diz_qo for keeping the spirit alive at @allisjoysoho — sharing the Breathe Out video with Violet’s stunning live improv alongside. Thank you @sohoelectronic for sharing this moment with everyone there 💙
Saturday was the first Soho Electronic festival in the Farsight Gallery, Below Stone Nest and finally nestling in the comfy chairs of All is Joy on Dean Street.
Very varied roster and I certainly heard some interesting new (to me) acts. One surprise of the night was Violet Savage standing in to improvise a dance whilst Mieko Shimizu's music and video appeared behind her (Mieko could not make the event).
Hearing Klahrk was an early highlight. Had a nice short chat after the set with Ben. Both Felt Trip and Atom Truck were new to me. And Daniel Miller's solo modular set was a fine end to the night.

Todays the day ⚠️ Spotlight on our last two artists:
Tullis Rennie - @tullisrennie
Tullis Rennie is an electronic musician, improvising trombonist, composer, and field recordist who “foregrounds the act of listening as an active component in the creation of musical experience” (The Wire Magazine). His latest album Safe Operating Space (Efpi Records) is a hybrid of club music and acoustic free improvisation that results in “boundary-pushing electronica... as if we were listening to an intergalactic visitor’s attempt at appropriating the dancefloor” (theQuietus), in which the music reflects on themes such as global heating, AI-generated deepfakes, family life, and Kate Bush.
Storyteller - @storyteller
Collaboration between writer & occasional filmmaker BRUCE McCLURE and sound
artist BJØRN HATLESKOG.
See you later today Soho

Smelliott - @smell.iott
Have you ever eaten glass before? have you ever chewed on steel?
Klahrk - @klahrk
London-based artist, producer, label owner, and DJ known for creating avant-garde
electronic music and soundscapes that explore the deep, atmospheric, and often
abrasive lower frequencies of the electronic music spectrum.
TOMORROW!! Soho will not sound the same.

MM99 - @mm99forever
MM’99 is a Polish producer and singer based in London, seamlessly blending hyperpop, witchhouse, and ethereal synths. Her debut EP ‘HEX’ was released this summer.
Silkarmour - @silkarmour100
London-based electronic and experimental music project known for its dense and
complex soundscapes, incorporating sampling techniques and layered noise to create emotive but often unsettling musical and visual experiences. Building on the world of brash electronic sampling, live instrumentation and sincere, abstract lyricism, latest release ‘Come Back PLS’ features grinding synths and vocals chops lost in reverb and delay surrounding Silkarmour’s direct, foreboding baritone as he ruminates on exodus in his typically speculative style.
TWO DAYS TO GO! One ticket, four venues, twenty-two artists. Tickets in bio ⬆️
