A special announcement!
I have been digesting this wonderful news that Maria Ezcurra and I have been selected as the two laureates of the Prix Powerhouse 2022 at La Centrale galerie Powerhouse 💥💥💥
✨La Centrale will also present selected works by Maria and I in the exhibition The body in action, matter is transformed , from April 6 to May 11, 2023.
✨The award ceremony will be held at La Centrale on Wednesday, April 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come check out the exhibition and say hi! From 5h30pm to 6h30, the mask is mandatory. At 6h30pm, food and beverage will be served.
I have been reflecting on my journey and commitment to prioritize what gives me joy & pleasure which is moving my body, making my visions come to life (however small or epic), learning and sharing hopes, curiosities & dreams with many amazing artists that I have met along the way. The process of creating is a magical, mysterious, spiritual and transformative experience and I am still in awe of it. 💫🌊💫🔥💫🪐
A big THANK YOU to
@coralshort for your nomination and support ❣️❣️❣️ Thank you La Centrale galerie Powerhouse for this award and for the exhibition.

The body in action, the material is transformed , brings together works dating from the beginning of the artists' journey as well as more recent works. The public is invited to (re)discover their creations through the exhibition which brings together photography, installation, video and performance. This exhibition highlights the idea of the body as a place and means of claiming and puts the notions of identity and social justice at the center of its device. Maria Ezcurra and Winnie Ho share a concern for the representation of the body and for the space it occupies and use everyday objects to address identity and cultural issues.
