- Sheffield in September. We may not be holding a Sheffield Showcase event in 2025, but there is still a lot going on in our city to be excited about this month... The inaugural Lick of Paint Festival (@lickofpaintfest ) celebrates all things street art; with local, national and international artists and activity taking place across the city. Featuring live graffiti battles, mural workshops, artist talks, installations and more. Saturday Sept 6th > Sunday Sept 7th . Alpaca Festival (@alpacapatterns ) - new to Sheffield's culture calendar - is the festival of algorithmic patterns in the creative arts. Featuring talks, workshops, live-coded visuals, concerts and a club night/algorave, showcasing artists exploring beyond our imaginations through pattern-making. Friday Sept 12th > Sunday Sept 14th . Castlegate Festival (@castlegatefestival ) returns with a packed line-up of artists & DJs for the annual Exchange Street party. With live music, a skate jam, family-friendly activities, food and drinks all day and into the night, there really is something for everyone... and, it's free! Events and activities are spread across 6 venues, with an exceptional lineup of DJs into the early hours (artwork by @mila_kult ). Saturday September 20th . Art in the Gardens Sat. 7 September 2024 — Sun. 8 September 2024 Sheffield Botanical Gardens One of the largest outdoor art exhibitions in the north. Discover paintings in the pavilions and marquees, sculptures on the lawns, and say hello to artists and craft makers – all in beautiful surroundings. Sheffield Showcase runs over the weekend of 6-8th September at locations across the city. There are a wide variety of activities and events taking place, so there really is something for everyone.
