New show // Mik Artistik’s Ego Trip
Thursday 10th December
On sale now
———
Wildly original, gloriously unpredictable, and impossible to pigeonhole, Mik Artistik’s Ego Trip are one of the UK’s most beloved underground live acts. For many years they were a Glastonbury tradition, drawing crowds who wouldn’t dream of starting their festival without witnessing Mik’s riotous sets at the Croissant Neuf Bandstand or the Rocket Lounge—performances that have become part of Glastonbury folklore.
At the heart of it all is Mik himself—part punk-poet, part surreal philosopher, part stand-up comic—fixing the audience with his compelling stare before launching into improvised tales, spoken-word detours, spontaneous tangents, and moments of both hilarity and tenderness. Every show feels handcrafted for the people in the room, full of unpredictable interaction, surreal humour, and the occasional burst of unexpected interpretive dancing that leave audiences roaring with laughter.
@gettogetherfest is THIS SATURDAY. Down to the final tickets, grab one from getogetherfestival.com
Wicked line up of two rooms here at YA, and legend Erol Alkan joins us into the night with a proper intimate set
Let’s goooo
New show // The Moonlandingz
Friday 11th and Saturday 12th December
On sale Wednesday 13th May 10am
———
The Moonlandingz are a semi-fictional, genre-hopping collective of psychedelic, dub, krautrock, circuit-bent electronics and pop-noir misfits — and occasional cultural agitators — born in Sheffield, UK.
Formed in 2015 by Adrian Flanagan (Eccentronic Research Council / Acid Klaus), producer and synthesist Dean Honer (The All Seeing I / I Monster) and magnetic frontman and lyricist Lias Saoudi (Fat White Family / Decius), the group has since evolved into one of Britain’s most thrillingly unpredictable sonic experiments.
Across their output they’ve collaborated with a wildly diverse cast, including Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon, Maxine Peake, Randy Jones (Village People), Philip Oakey (The Human League) and Rebecca Lucy Taylor (Self Esteem).
Their latest album No Rocket Required pushes things even further, featuring appearances from Iggy Pop, Nadine Shah and Jessica Winter. Since release, the record has earned rave reviews across the UK, Europe and the US. Recent singles have all been playlisted on BBC 6 Music, accompanied by a live session for Marc Riley and a 30-minute interview on the station’s Teatime programme.
Most recently, their track “It’s Where I’m From” (feat. Iggy Pop) soundtracked a global Levi’s campaign, cementing The Moonlandingz as one of the most inventive and culturally magnetic bands operating today.
Not long til Omar hits Yellow Arch and today we’re excited is an understatement
