Allow me to reintroduce myself, my name is Savina Monet (yes, really!) and I’ve been collaging for the last 9 years 💥 More recently, I’ve enjoyed creating on-the-spot portraits during events using my handy @polaroid and whatever source material I brought for the day. It’s a great creative exercise and a way for me to share the collage process with folks who might not know what it’s all about! When I’m not shredding magazines, I like to explore the outdoors with my pup Flip and tear it up in the kitchen. I wouldn’t be able to live without the support of everyone who purchases a print or recommends me for a gig, so THANK YOU fam for allowing me to pursue my dreams! ❤️‍🔥

Inspired by the circle of cedar trees that watch over her backyard, Elizabeth wanted her brand to feel connected to the land. Cedar Circle Botanicals is a wellness line of organic, wild-harvested, edible-grade plant medicine from Washington. You can find Elizabeth and her amazing products at various craft and Native markets in the PNW. Shout out to @nwnativechamber for connecting us!

Last year I made my largest collage ever (shoutout @really.dope.mn !) so imagine my joy when @tinygallery.stjohns invited me to put together a teeny instillation as their March featured artist 👼🏼✨ Somehow even more challenging to piece together these tiny canvases, but aren’t they just the cutest?! Swing by to see them in their full 2” glory!

The funny thing about world conflict is it can often become a catalyst for creative energy. These last few months have seen the darkest days, but out of them have emerged beautiful visions of how I want the future to unfold. These two pieces are part of a larger collection at @thepurpledoorpdx that took time and concentration. Mixing tiny shreds of culture, sometimes no bigger the 0.25”, into portraits of identity and belonging. Peep these pieces and the rest of the show this weekend during the Opening Reception Friday & Saturday.

Since October 2025, 560 Oregonians have been detained in communities across the state. The Immigrant Justice Package was created to keep families together, protect children and prevent further harm caused by the terrorization of ICE in our communities. We have until March 9th to demand our representatives advocate for these set of bills. HOT TIPS: 📞 Your State senator and state representative will be specific to the area you live in. **This will not be the same Senators that we contacted for the DHS bill!** Using a tool like Legislator Lookup on www.oregonlegislature.gov/FindYourLegislator/districts-initial.html will help you find exactly who that is. 📞 We need all hands on deck for this one so if you are nervous to call send them an email, write a postcard or even tag them on social media. We just need to make sure they know about the iJP and demand that they advocate for the passage of these bills. 📞 Follow accounts like @nextuporegon and @pcunoregon who are staying up-to-date on the bill’s movement. 📞 Spread the news! Talk to your families, friends, neighbors and ally groups about IJP. I know this stuff is heavy, but it is our responsibility as citizens to advocate for the future that we want to see. We are closer than ever to making long-lasting change, don’t lose sight!

Making art in a time like this can feel foolish. At least that’s what I thought. Making something for myself felt selfish. I felt I was wasting creative energy that could have been directed toward a flashy poster or an educational post. Now, I’ve come to see it as a necessary reset. A way to smooth the nervous system after a barrage of distressing headlines and social media posts. I had to remember that rest is also resistance, especially when the road is long. We can’t afford to lose folks from intentional burnout. So take a moment. Breathe. Rest. We need you today and everyday after 🤎

❤️‍🔥🔥 KEEP THE PRESSURE 🔥❤️‍🔥 We won the battle, but the war against ICE is far from over. Over the next two weeks Senate will be negotiating terms for a DHS funding bill. Take two minutes of your day, every day, to call your Senator and demand these changes. It’s their job to listen to constituents—that’s you! Feeling nervous? I have a revised script on Slide 4 that you can use as a guide. As a reminder: ☎️ Each Senator has both a D.C. number and a local number. Voicemail full on one? Try the other number to get through. ☎️ Constituents are just residents of a state or district. ANYONE regardless of age, voter registration or even citizenship can call and demand change. ☎️ Haters, bots and even people in power will do everything to make you feel afraid and powerless. F*CK THAT. People are afraid of change because they can’t imagine what comes next. Do not let anyone get in the way of you stepping into your power.

WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE! Never in our history have members of Congress changed their positions on an issue in just 72 hours. And it’s because of us. Our calls. Our protests. Our direct action. In addition to making daily calls, I’m releasing these limited-time “I Called” stickers to the public with 100% of the funds going directly to immigrant families forced to shelter in place. If we sell out, that’s $860 going right back to the people who need it most. Hit the link in my bio, click the link in my stories, or DM “RESIST” for a link to make a purchase. Every dollar, every action counts!

👼🏼 UPDATE: Our calls are working!! Yesterday (01/21) the House and Senate put out a joint explanatory statement proposing the following changes: $2M to procure body-worn cameras Establish a DHS uniform policy Additional training on de-escalation and American’s rights to record ———————— This was my first ever call to Congress. I was nervous, I was reading from a script and while it might not look like a whole lot, I can say that it felt like I was taking SOME control back in my life. Calling your representatives is just one step in our fight against ICE but it shouldn’t be the only one you take. Find other ways you can show up for your community whether that’s by organizing, volunteering, marching in solidarity, or making active changes to live an anti-capitalist and anti-racist life. All in all, JUST CALL! Big ups to @bensheehan who has simplified the matter in the best way possible. For sure give him a follow for up-to-date information!
