After being asked over and over again to grit things out adapt and overcome this week was no different.
A week of believing, being yourself, and loving the sport you do. I could not be prouder not just of the outcome but how you got here. A true inspiration!
An Amazing way to round off the full set of World Championship Medals with the World Title to your name!!! One for the history books.
I’m so lucky to work with not only one superstar but @islay_w as well who after almost 4 months out with injury and surgery managed to come into this championships and show that she can push it with the best in the world no matter what the challenges.
I’m now a slightly tired, but incredibly proud coach. I will always be honoured to work with both these women meet every challenge in their own unique way but head on!!!
Huge congrats to all the competitors but especially @andybrown.surf doing it for the boys incredibly supported by Archie’s Dad (@james0102 )

It has taken me a week to even start thinking about writing this as I try and process the wild ride that was the Olympic Rodeo.
It really is the greatest show on earth.
To say I wouldn’t have been able to get there without the help and support of so many people is an understatement. In a world where there are often more things to stop you succeeding so many helped me tip the balance in the opposite direction.
Coaching Emdog and her crew has been an absolute privilege. I hate the word talent and I think the best way to describe Emma is she has the most formidable, relentless and sometimes almost uncontrollable approach to learning and improving and genuinely loves the sport.
It’s incredible to see how a person’s drive, passion and desire to enjoy it manages to infect those around them and form a group that want to be part of it. An incredible group Donna, Matilda, Islay and Nascar.
We had some type 3, a lot of type 2 but mostly type 1 fun.
Emma thankyou for putting up with random facts and Dad Jokes whether you wanted to hear them or not.
I also want to say watching you put together one of the greatest ever Olympic sailing performances was incredible, where you have managed to drive this sport in only a few years is astounding and you amaze me.
Being there when you crossed that finish line and being able to give you an awkward hug will be the very greatest privilege of my career.
The British Sailing Team: What an amazing team they are, we all lived through the highs and lows together and stood side by side along the way. The support team are the best in the world and the environment they create is truly unique. Imagine rubbing shoulders with some incredible athletes and coaches over breakfast and then checking you haven’t stolen their pants because there has been a blowout in the laundry and that seeming normal.
The Olympics is pretty cool to be fair

So many highlights but being there when you won your first world championships was pretty epic. Dedication, grit and still loving windsurfing!!! Very proud!
@islay_w smashing it out the park with a podium 🥉 at the first event of the season and despite injury still making the most out of everyday and being able to perform under the very hardest circumstances. 2026 looks bright. Again a very proud coach.
A great team and sharing a lot of laughs whilst working as hard as possible. Thanks for having me along for the ride!

Huge congratulations to @emmawilson_gbr7 🚀 for not only taking the @iqfoilclass title at the @trofeosofia Regatta but also the overall title rightfully adding her name to the long list of sailing legends to have their name on that trophy 🏆 an incredible week of windsurfing and racing in all conditions. A real honour to have the best seat in the house to watch it unfold.
Sad not to have the full team there with @islay_w and looking forward to us all being back on it together but great to be joined by @lucy_.kenyon who was really pushing it this week 💪.
It was a full on week of racing with 19 races plus a medal series with new formats and even some racing in the very extreme bottom end. Great to see the @iqfoilclass Women really pushing forward.
One of the special things about this regatta is we get to see all the Olympic classes in action and are around the entire @britishsailing team which is great in itself but even better when the team put out such a well deserved strong result.
