I am so very grateful to have been named "Best Director" at the 16th LA WebFest at their Gala Awards last weekend for my work on "Walking Shadows Vol. 3". And a little gobsmacked!
The 15 directors from around the globe (who were working across a plethora of genres) that I had the honour of being nominated alongside for this award are extraordinary. To be named the winner in that field is incredible and I still can't quite believe it happened.
I am so grateful to the rather impressive jury of industry folk for awarding this to me and for this amazing acknowledgement of the work. It is humbling and thrilling all at once.
Huge thanks to Phil Hayden at Howard Fine Acting Studio Australia who commissioned the series. To all my cast for not only taking on Shakespeare seriously for the first time under my teaching, but then six classes and a lot of hard work later, stepping in front of a camera, (sometimes for the first time), trusting me and the process and making me look good. You all rock ❤️. And to the crew for being absolute troopers every day of that intense, chaotic shoot.
Big thanks, as always, to my core Incognita team - Billy Smedley, Sass Pinci, Phoebe Anne Taylor and Christopher Kirby for always having my back. Extra special shout out to Sass, for also being the Sound Designer/Editor, working her magic, and helping out with sound on set as needed. You're a star Sass, as always.

The final rankings of the @WebSeriesWorldCup have been announced and we are so thrilled to share that Walking Shadows Vol. 3 finished it's festival run in the ⭐Top 10 Web Series globally ⭐ (at # 7 and the only Australian show) out of 475 shows from 43 countries and as the ⭐ # 1 Most Awarded Web Series in Australia and the wider Asia/Pacific Region! ⭐This is the first time one of our projects has made the # 1 position in Australia & Asia/Pacific in the WSWC and we are SO THRILLED!
Big congrats to all our team who made this season possible and thank you to all the top web fests who selected, nominated and awarded the series to date, who made this ranking possible!
Thank you also to the Web Series World Cup team - Dipu Bhattacharya, Jeff Stormer, Ned Donovan & Tom Chamberlain - who keep track of all the series on the festival circuit each year and calculate and publish these results. It is a mammoth task and they deserve all the love and appreciation for their work.

The last light of 2025. It's been a year. Priorities changed. Focus shifted. Small delights such as a carpet of purple Jacaranda flowers strewn across green grass, a perfect cup of coffee, a mild Summer's day, tiny thornbills dancing through a lemon tree, loved ones near - all fleeting jewel moments, easily taken for granted if you're not paying attention. But I found myself savouring each one with deep appreciation today. Life is short. Memory fades. Life ebbs and flows. Yet the feelings linger.
May your 2026 be filled with tiny jewel moments that fill you up with peace, love and joy. May you know and show kindness, experience moments of wonder, revel in gentle contemplation, laugh loud and with your whole body, hold space for rest and recuperation. May you have time to tend to your dreams, to gaze at the stars, to remember who you are and all you are here to share with the world. May you shine in your own unique way, now, tomorrow and always.
