Baby’s first tee! Welcome the “Conny Rose” Rusted tee 🌹🐈‍⬛ A while back we made up some cute tees and the black and white logo reminded us of our cutie kitty Conny. That logo with the dusty pink and behold the Conny Rose tshirt was born! We did a very small run of these in a few sizes. If you’d like to have one, shoot us a DM! RUSTED RETURNS! Friday, Sept 26 with @djhermano_ @deliciousdj_ 🧱⚙️🍁 Something special about the Rust Belt and Great Lakes queer scene is how it not only brings its own community together so beautifully, but wholeheartedly welcomes in fine folks from all over, building and extending that community beyond just the region itself. From day one, Rusted has aimed to do the same, bringing in talent not only from the Rust Belt but from anywhere really - so long as the community connection is there. With that, we’re celebrating both the homegrown and intercontinental connection this time around with an all Canada lineup (by way of Brazil). We first encountered DJ Hermano when he played Honcho Campout in 2019. Since then, we’ve bumped elbows at BuddyBuddy in Buffalo and twirled together at Bodywaves in Toronto, and he’s hooked us on his dynamic sound and artistry. Originally from Brazil and now living in Montreal, DJ Hermano has a passion for music that has taken him across most of the continent, playing on the line-ups of major festivals, parties & clubs. Still influenced by his Brazilian roots, he incorporates editions from the 80s and 90s, as well as contemporary electronic music. He’s also released his own work, most recently the EP Discodrama this past March (which you should definitely check out). Sharing the night is Toronto’s Disco Daddy, Delicious, an openly queer & trans DJ specializing in classic and deep house, disco and funk. Delicious has made a name for himself spinning at some of Toronto’s biggest queer events including Gay Rights, DFMO, Deep Inside, Love on Top and recently his own bi-monthly dance party, BODIES/BODIES/BODIES! Delicious truly lives up to his name, keeping things yummy and filling the floor with delectable dancevibes. This Montreal/Toronto lineup is hot to trot, so bring your buds and let’s bash! Friday, Sept 26 at @eagletoronto Doors at 9pm. $10 before 10:30pm, $15 after. Music by @djhermano_ @deliciousdj_ Poster by @derekaubichon —-///

RUSTED TURNS TWO!💥We’re back for a big ol’ bash Friday, May 30 with San Fran’s @nkmoss and @max_mohenu More ⬇️ It’s true, we’ve entered our terrible twos! Just in time for spring fever and a prelude to pride month, we’re ready to throw tantrums all over the dance floor with y’all in honour of two years of Rusted! To celebrate, we’ve bringing a friend and longtime inspiration all the way from San Fransisco for his Toronto debut! Nick Moss (he/him) crafts an enigmatic dance floor experience, guiding listeners through a captivating journey that seamlessly weaves genres and ventures into unexpected sonic realms. Through his efforts co-producing Quiche, an open-air dance party that made its debut on the San Francisco scene in 2021, and formerly through Kosmetik and Fault Radio’s KTV, Nick has been a pivotal player in the vibrant underground queer music scene of San Francisco for the past several years. His unconventional blending of experimental and left-field selections lends an intriguing quality to his unique and esoteric sound, leaving an indelible impression that lingers in the shadows of the mind. Sharing the night is Toronto temptrex Rose Hips (they/them), a mainstay in queer nightlife who looks to inspire movement, sensuality, and escapism on the dance floor. Coming up in the underground music scene, Rose Hips’s love affair with dance music dates back to their early teenage years in Detroit, discovering electronic music, and dipping their toes into the city’s legendary party culture. Their selections nod to 90s producers, outliers, experimentalists, pop divas, and queer innovators who’ve inspired them to be bold and adventurous behind the decks. Rose Hips taps into the unrelenting bass, slinky percussion, and leftfield rhythms of house, techno, hard-drum, dembow, UK funky, and jersey club, seamlessly blending a wide range of vibrant, global club sounds. Together these quiche queerdos will make their Rusted debut to help us mark two years of Rusted rowdiness! Come make history with us, honey hams! Friday, May 30 at @eagletoronto Doors at 9pm. $10 before 10:30pm, $15 after. Music by @nickmoss @max_mohenu Poster by @derekaubichon —-///

Jordan and Mickey were a dance floor duo like no other. That’s where we came to know them best, on the Rust Belt dance floors, giving everything they have to the music, the DJs, the community around them. Their true joy and passion for the scene so many of us love is a big part of what inspired us to start our parties in the first place. These past several days have been devastating. Some of the hardest, darkest days. But to see the Rust Belt queerdos come together from all over to memorialize Jordan and Mickey last Saturday was beautiful and so moving. Being in Allentown, the community they loved and worked so endlessly to grow, and hearing those who love them speak, sharing powerful words, humour and light during such a dark time, was something we will cherish always. We need each other, this pack of party misfits, spread out across the Great Lakes and all over. Probably now more than ever. We’ll move forward holding close the love these two have for the community, for all of us, and for each other, and keep them in our hearts and souls with every party, every function, every afters, every look, twirl and step we take in life. We love you Jordan & Mickey, always forever. 💗🪩💗
