These aren’t rules.
They’re standards.
The kind you hold yourself to when no one’s watching. The kind that turns effort into growth.
They shift your timeline slowly, then all at once.
You dont need hype.
You need a higher bar.
Which one will you live this week?
Your body can handle more than your feelings suggest. This is your reminder: you’re capable, even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard.
Recognize any of these feelings?

Every runner knows the numbers matter.
We track effort, progress, proof of sweat.
But the best ones know progress begins long before the watch shows it.
It’s in the quiet miles.
In the days that feel like nothing’s changing.
In the patience to keep showing up anyway.
If your progress feels invisible right now… good.
That means you’re in it.
That means the work is still working.
The longer you stay, the more you start to understand what all of this is really teaching you.
Because there’s no shortcut to this part.
It just takes what it takes.
Grateful to have run The District 19 19-miler with @districtrunningcollective . It reminded me how long it really takes for the work to turn into something visible.

The marathon is really quite beautiful. It doesn’t ask how fast you are, it asks if you’ll keep going when it gets hard.
You cant answer in words; you prove it one step at a time.
I didn’t get the day I imagined, but I found something better: proof that I can keep moving, and that I’m never doing it alone.
That’s growth. That’s community. And it’s a strength I can carry with me everywhere.
In the long game thats everything.

Belief (n): the quiet handoff of strength. Someone sees something in you, and suddenly you start to see it too.
I started running on borrowed belief.
I keep running to honor it.
Tomorrow, fueled by the endless support and encouragement around me, I race the @marinecorpsmarathon
Belief is a crazy thing ⚡️
#marinecorpsmarathon
consistency (noun)
/ kənˈsɪstənsi /
The act of showing up long enough for doubt to disappear.
Because in the end, volume eradicates doubt.
16 weeks of long runs with @teamafterone as we prepared for the @marinecorpsmarathon — week after week, we showed up. Heat, hills, fatigue, life… we still showed up.
That’s what makes us inevitable.
I’m insanely proud and deeply honored to have witnessed so many of you grow. Some of you training for your first marathon, others sharpening for your best.
The work is done. The belief is built.
Now it’s time to live the story we’ve been writing all along.
🗣️T–2. Let’s finish what we started. 🚀

Expectations are unreliable indicators of what you’re truly capable of.
To run at your best, don’t weigh yourself down with them.
Sometimes you surpass them — proof they were never the limit, only a guess.
Train well. Show up ready. Run.
Then let go of how it “should” feel, and meet it with open arms. You’ve prepared for this.
If the PR comes, let it.
If it doesn’t, the marathon still owes you nothing.
Because in the long game, endurance isn’t just about speed — it’s about staying faithful to the work long after the applause fades. Even a perceived setback is really a step toward your inevitability.
Care deeply. Train fiercely. Let the outcome meet you ready.

It’s funny… every race week feels different,
but the same lessons always come back.
Let go. Trust the work. Remember why you started.
I don’t feel invincible, just deeply grateful to be here again.
Happy Race Week 🏁

If pre-race nerves are here. GOOD! It’s proof you still care and of course you do. You’ve been at this for months.
I still feel these nerves as race day approaches. Everyone does. The mind that questions, the body that twitches, the heart that races long before the gun goes off are all part of the process.
I used to think it was fear talking.
I know now that it stems from the love you have for the sport.
It’s really your devotion showing up disguised as doubt.
So when the nerves come, don’t silence them.
SMILE!
You’ve earned the right to feel this alive.

“Dami, come to NYC on Friday.”
That text hit three days before the @tenthousand.cc cc 10K.
No plan. No taper. Just a challenge and a friend who knew I was capable.
The right friends don’t hype you. They see you. They call you into moments you might’ve talked yourself out of.
I said yes. Showed up mid-marathon prep, legs heavy, heart full.
And somewhere between the laps and the burpees, I remembered that belief is contagious.

@runwithdami takes on the @tenthousand.cc toughest 10k in New York City for a chance to win $5,000. He came all the way from Washington D.C. for the shot competing next to pro athletes and holding his own.
Here’s a look behind the scenes and sights from the race plus a little post race recap.

The inaugural @tenthousand.cc 10k.
25 laps. 250 burpees. A reminder that strength is just composure under pressure.
Should they bring this to DC?
