As nature-lovers at heart, this day is extra special to us, as it is a reminder to cherish the beauty of it all... the trees and waterways and blossoms. And how we aim to be continually mindful of our beautiful natural surroundings and landscapes.

And this April wedding was extra special because our nature-loving couple intentionally chose Earth Day as their wedding date and sought to honor the Earth in every element of their garden wedding. One of our favorite ways they paid tribute to the Earth was through the stunning invitation suite and menus, printed on wildflower seed paper, so that their guests could reuse the paper goods by planting them and growing their own garden!

These photos are some of our favorites. And they still don’t show half of what made this wedding special.
They don’t show that our couple never once checked their phone to see if vendors were on schedule. Or that their guests moved seamlessly from one part of the day to the next without anyone looking lost or confused.
They don’t show that when a vendor had a last-minute question, they texted us, not the couple. Or the way the dance floor filled up effortlessly because we’d built the perfect momentum all evening.
They don’t show the relief on our couple’s faces when they realized they hadn’t thought about timeline logistics once during their own ceremony. Or that when the weather shifted and we needed to adjust the setup, they found out about it after it was already handled.
Most importantly, they don’t show how present they felt all day. How they could focus entirely on each other, their family, and their friends, instead of mentally running through logistics or wondering if everything was going according to plan.
They hired us to make their wedding look this beautiful AND to give them the peace of mind to be completely present for their own wedding day.
Because there’s a difference between a wedding that just photographs well and one that actually feels incredible to live through.

Wedding venue tours are exciting and overwhelming. Between admiring the space and picturing your perfect day, important questions often slip through the cracks.
After 16 years of planning, here’s what we always ask ⤵️
1. “Are there sound restrictions or curfews?”
Nothing kills a dance party faster than having to turn the music down at 9 pm because of noise ordinances. Know the rules before you plan that midnight send-off
2. “What’s actually included in the rental fee?”
That base price often doesn’t tell the whole story. Chairs, tables, setup—knowing what’s included helps avoid budget surprises later
3. “Do you allow outside vendors, and is there an extra fee?”
Some venues require you to use their preferred list or charge additional fees for bringing in your own team. This matters if you already have vendors you want to work with
4. “How many bathrooms are available, and where are they located?”
Nothing ruins a guest experience faster than bathroom lines or having to trek across the property during cocktail hour.
5. “What are the AV capabilities, and where are the outlets?”
If you’re planning speeches, a band, or any production elements, you need to know what’s built in and where power sources are located
6. “What exactly does your venue coordinator handle?”
Many couples hear “coordinator” and assume they’ll manage the timeline, vendors, and details. Clarifying their actual role prevents day-of gaps in coverage
7. “What are the true rain plan options?”
Not just whether they exist, but how they work, what they look like, and when decisions need to be made
8. “What’s the setup and breakdown timeline?”
When can vendors access the space? Where are the service doors and loading dock? These logistics shape your entire day and affect what’s actually possible
9. “Can we see photos from a wedding with our same guest count?”
A space that feels perfect with 80 guests might feel cramped with 150. Seeing is believing when it comes to your actual numbers
