It's our 11th wedding anniversary today and we spent the beautiful morning downtown!
We had a change in plans when our pup Baxter got hurt a few days ago (see last photo of the silly boy from today) and we needed to be home with him. At first I was bummed but living ½ mile away from downtown has perks.
We got to have breakfast at Om Noms @fatherfats on their opening day of the 2026 season 😉😺
We walked through the farmers market 💐
Then got to help celebrate the 13th anniversary of @rubyroasters by grabbing a matcha & cookies ❤️🍵
It's great being able to support the community and quickly go back home to Baxter.
My point being it's easy to lose joy in this world when things don't turn out how we planned...but riding the wave of change allowed us to find joy in a different way (and yes if you know me you know I'm wired quite negatively so I had to make sure and share this positive thought before it vanished)

Meet the Tomorrow Seasonal Project from Ruby Coffee Roasters: a certified organic Colombian single origin sourced from small-scale farmers in the Tolima region through FABICOOP. Ruby works directly with these producers, many transitioning to specialty coffee farming — to pay fair prices and help their coffees reach the world stage they deserve.
The result is something special: silky and sweet, with lemon brightness, notes of almond and pear, and a clean dark chocolate finish.
One Colombian farmer Ruby works with keeps an eye on the tiny rainforest frogs living in the rivers on his farm. Their presence means the ecosystem is healthy. That’s the kind of coffee we want in your cup.
