First jiu jitsu tournament in the books. I can honestly say I gave it everything in me. Won some, lost some, had lots of fun, tested myself and worked hard. I’m proud to get to represent @roufusport along with my teammates. I’m proud of the work I’ve put in up to this point, and I’m proud of the way I performed today. Big thanks to @lemke7938 and @andrew.jakubicz for coaching me today and being such a large part of my jiu jitsu journey. And thank you to everyone who sent me a text or came to watch and support the team today. Definitely feeling the love! Now it’s back to work to keep getting better!
The blue belt journey begins! Looking forward to continuing to work hard and have fun!
In the larger picture this is a small milestone but I am going to enjoy it for all it’s worth! I moved to Milwaukee just over a year ago and I can’t imagine calling any other gym home than @roufusport My jiu jitsu has improved a ton and Ive made some great friends! OSS!
Some of the most fun I’ve ever had training. @payterman_ and @benhousman.bh are 2 of my closest and oldest friends. We met over a decade ago when we lived together, long long before any of us had any idea what jiu jitsu was. We each have found our own way into the sport, and getting to share it with my friends is simply just awesome.
The 3 of us have been planning on training together for some time now, and with all of us living hours away from the other, it’s been tough, but we finally made it happen. We had been joking about doing a 2v1 since I weigh more than both of them put together, and well, you can see how that went down in that last video. Gotta keep it fun, and man was it! Can’t wait to train with my dudes again!
Jiu jitsu is already a ton of fun and great challenge. Both aspects get better when you get to train with great friends. Extra fun and funny rolls today with one of my best friends @payterman_
Thanks @jmac72915 for having me today.

It’s always great to get to train with the folks at @nwksjjcolby@nwksjjgoodland
If you are in western Kansas and are thinking about trying jiu jitsu, I cannot recommend Anthony and Amy enough. Great instruction, clean facilities, awesome people.
