Today marks the release of an album I am proud of having produced: Manu Lafer’s “Duets”. #ManuLafer @manulaferoficial is a legendary Brazilian composer, singer and songwriter with over 30 albums recorded so far, and he asked me a few years ago whether I would produce his new album because he wanted a “New York” sound rather than a Brazilian sound. La presentación para la prensa de Todos los fuegos —una experiencia increíble— y mi inmensa gratitud por una recepción tan cálida como inolvidable. 🏆 Y otra gran sorpresa: haber recibido la mención a los Premios Konex como una de los 5 Mejores Solistas de Jazz de la Década (2015–2025).
Sin duda, estos últimos diez años han sido un camino de grandes y profundos cambios. Recorrí nuevos rumbos, exploré audiencias, promoví nuestra música argentina 🎶🇦🇷 y aprendí de músicos enormes como Martín (aquí en una nueva grabación) y el maestro Chucho Valdés (junto a Martín, celebrando el cumpleaños de Chucho) 🎹✨

🏆 And another wonderful surprise: being honored with a Konex Awards mention as one of the 5 Best Jazz Solo Artists of the Decade (2015–2025).
Without a doubt, these past ten years have been a journey of profound and meaningful change. I explored new paths, connected with new audiences, shared and promoted Argentine music 🎶🇦🇷, and learned from extraordinary musicians such as Martín (here in a new recording) and the master Chucho Valdés (together with Martín, celebrating Chucho’s birthday) 🎹✨

This is the first part of a summary of an unforgettable 2025 in many ways, and I want to remember it together with you.
A year ago we met in New York 🎶🗽, at Sear Sound. Of course, the music for this album had to be recorded there, and without rehearsals, without explanations, we set out to invoke these Argentine composers 🇦🇷✨.
Argentines (Leo and I) and Americans (Tim Lefebvre and Kenny Wollesen), all responding to the liturgy of one of Latin America’s most impressive traditions 🔥🎼.
I love hearing this music in new, foreign, and generous hands 🤲🌍. It was magic ✨.
