A glimpse from Ganga, presented by Naatyalaya School of Dance — Ganga playfully teases Shiva, not knowing the depth of his rising fury. His silence holds power. His stillness, warning.
Grateful for the chance to portray Shiva in this production. More moments from Ganga coming soon.

Still feeling so grateful after teaching my Indian contemporary class in Austin, hosted entirely on my own. I didn’t know what to expect—but the energy, the turnout, and the heart everyone brought into the room completely blew me away.
Dancing to a soulful Kailash Kher track, exploring movement rooted in tradition and emotion, and seeing each of you make it your own—it reminded me why I love this path. This class also marked a turning point for me—finding confidence in my style and stepping into a space I once hesitated to claim.
Thank you for showing up. This is just the beginning.
Also huge thank you to @prachig_@neharaste30@ludakrishna1 & @pmohanda for all their support and encouragement

Stepping into Krishna in Nauka Charitra felt like stepping into a world where teasing becomes devotion, and every glance holds a story. Surrounded by these radiant Gopis, each moment on stage turned into a living painting… playful, intimate, and timeless.
There’s something magical about sharing space with dancers who don’t just perform, but become. The laughter, the chemistry, the stillness between movements… all of it felt like it belonged to something much older than us, yet so alive in that moment.
Deep gratitude to @ppadmini.rravi Ma’am for this exquisite choreography, and to our Guru @dancepreya for shaping it with such love and clarity.
Honored to present this with the incredible Devi School of Dance team… and to lose myself, even if just for a while, in Krishna’s world.

The last four years have quietly changed everything for me, right form my body fitness to my dance Vocabulary
There was a time I questioned my place in dance.
The spaces I was in, the energy around me… even my own voice as a dancer. Somewhere along the way, I lost that simple joy that made me start. And then, slowly, something shifted.
I came back to Bharatanatyam.
Not as something I had to prove… but something I could feel again.
This journey wasn’t loud.
It was unlearning, rebuilding, finding the right people, the right guidance, the right energy.
And today, I can honestly say I’ve fallen in love with dance all over again.
At a stage in life where you don’t expect reinvention…
this became mine.
Grateful for my Guru @dancepreya@vinithasubramanian , my people, and everyone who held space for me to grow 🤍

Behind every “wow this looks so magical” moment is at least 27 people running around, someone yelling “where’s the jewelry,” a minor safety pin emergency, last minute fixes, and dancers somehow still serving face through all of it.
and honestly… we loved every second.
the world of ajanta is coming together in the most chaotic, beautiful way, and we cannot wait for you to see what all this madness turns into.

Some moments in dance feel bigger than choreography.
This was one of them. During my Rama Navami performance at Austin Hindu Temple, there was this quiet, tender moment where it felt like I was simply resting in the love of Lord Rama. For a second, everything softened. The music, the story, the movement, all of it came together in a way that felt so personal and so full of devotion.
I think that’s what I love most about dancing pieces like this. Sometimes you are not just performing a story. You are inside it. You feel it. You surrender to it.
Really grateful this moment was captured.

Sometimes a painting asks more of you than a glance.
It asks you to pause. To wonder. To stay long enough for the silence inside it to begin speaking.
That is the feeling Ajanta leaves behind. A world of beauty, mystery, and stories that seem suspended in time, waiting for someone to step closer and listen.

In the week of Rama Navami, it felt only right to lean into a mood of love, grace, and quiet divinity.
This may not be Rama and Sita. That is not the story Ajanta tells. But there is something in this frame, in the stillness, the gaze, the tenderness, that belongs beautifully to this time of year. So with Sita Kalyanam in the background, we are borrowing a little from the spirit of the season while inviting you into a completely different world.

My first Bhartanatyam Solo Performance in Austin is happening on March 28 . And I honestly still can’t believe I get to say that.
I’ll be performing at the Austin Hindu Temple for Ramanavami, and I’m bringing Brochevarevarura choreographed by @pallavi.manjunath to life in a way that feels really personal to me. I’ve been shaping my own adaptation of this piece with the guidance of my gurus, @vinithasubramanian Aunty and @dancepreya , and it means so much to finally share it.
What I love about this krithi is that it has so much feeling in it. It’s playful, emotional, devotional, and a little dramatic in the best way. Very much my vibe.
Also, the day fully does not end there because right after this I’m heading to @sindhu.music ‘s live concert for her album Ravan. So March 28 is basically going to be a full day of dance, music, emotion, and me running around very happily.
Would really love for you to come watch, cheer, and be part of this day with me. Come along for the journey 🤍
