My first solo Kathak performance!!But what you don’t see in this clip is what was happening just moments before…I was sick.My energy was low.My confidence? Even lower.The chakkars I’d practiced endlessly suddenly felt out of reach.And I was scared — genuinely unsure if I could pull it off.I turned to my guru, @aashima.kathak , who simply said:“Listen to your body. Do what feels right in this moment.”So I did.I danced — not for perfection, but from presence.I improvised every beat… and in that surrender, I found something beautiful.This performance will always be special — not because it was flawless, but because it was real.Grateful for grace. Grateful for dance. Grateful for @aashima.kathak .
