The new series of Grace starts this Sunday at 8pm on ITV. I edited Episode 3 "Dead Man's Game", directed by the excellent @zandeff , which will air a couple of weeks from now.
A really fun edit, with some great little action sequences, and another mysterious murder for Grace and the team to unravel. Grace is also a particularly nice show to work on as each episode is feature-length, so there's scope to tell a unique self-contained story alongside the overarching plot.
Huge thank you to brilliant assistant editor @iamasifhussain and super post-supervisor @stevenforrester - as well as all the cast and crew!
@undercover_exposingthefarright has been nominated for a @griersontrust award, for Best Single Documentary - Domestic.
Delighted for @markingfilms_inc@natashadack@tigerlilyproductions and the rest of our amazing team.
This film has only become more relevant since we finished it, with an increasingly powerful far-right in the UK, the US and much of Europe. So, if you've been disgusted by all the flag-shaggers painting St George's Cross on roundabouts (and much worse) then this is definitely worth a watch, to see how these ideas are spread and inculcated, and ultimately how they affect actual political policy. And to see the incredible work that @hopenothate do to combat the far-right.
The film is still available for another month or so on @channel4
Another year, another set of photos from the BAFTAs 😊 This was my third BAFTA ceremony in two years (one film, two TV) which I don't think I would have believed if you had told me beforehand!
No win for @undercover_exposingthefarright but we were delighted to celebrate being nominated alongside three other incredible films, including the very deserving winner Ukraine: Enemy in the Woods.
Thanks once again to everyone pictured: our brilliant director - @markingfilms_inc - wonderful producer @natashadack - and our excellent execs Fiona Stourton, Sandra Whipham @thedocsociety Siobhan Sinnerton @hiddenlightproductions and Sacha Mirzoeff @channel4
Thanks also to the rest of our amazing crew who each brought something really special to the film, and who I won't tag here as I can never remember who is still keeping their involvement under wraps 🕵️♂️
And of course, a special thank you to @hopenothate
for the work they do, and for letting us tell the story of just a small part of that.
Judging by the fact that we now have a Labour Prime Minister echoing the rhetoric of Enoch Powell, I feel like that kind of work is as important as ever, and I hope broadcasters will continue to be bold in platforming stories that address the far right and how those views are becoming increasingly commonplace in politics and the media once again. The Overton Window can actually be pushed the other way too!
Now, I've got to go and sew the button back on my tuxedo, which is thankfully about as minor as any wardrobe malfunction can be.

A few photos from the BAFTA Nominees' Party last week, to celebrate @undercover_exposingthefarright being nominated in the Single Documentary category.
📷 One of me.
📷 One with the real stars; director @markingfilms_inc and producer @natashadack
📷 One little behind the scenes shot of them having their picture taken.
📷 And one of the whole gang with our lovely execs too.
I'm very lucky to have worked on such a great project with brilliant people. And we are very fortunate to be nominated alongside some other excellent films.
Today we found out that Undercover: Exposing the Far Right has been nominated for a BAFTA! I spent nearly 6 months editing this film, and was so impressed by the diligence and bravery of Hope Not Hate, and the anti-fascist and anti-racist work they do.
Thank you to director @markingfilms_inc and producer @natashadack - and all the rest of the team! ⭐
And thank you to @bafta for recognising the film, alongside a number of other brilliant and important documentaries from the last year.
You can still watch the film on @channel4 📺

A couple of photos from the @britishfilmeditors Cut Above Awards last month. It was a great evening, celebrating the craft of editing, seeing old friends and making new ones too.
The best part of the night was seeing my good pal @jkataky_film win the Breakthrough Editor award. We studied at film school together, so we've known each other for nearly a decade now 👴🏻 and I was delighted to see his talent and dedication rewarded. I was pretty chuffed to be nominated too... and have made a mental note not to have such talented friends in future.
Thanks to the BFE for putting on the event, and to all the brilliant editors who make our community and also make such inspiring work.

I'm delighted to share that Undercover: Exposing the Far Right has been nominated for a @royaltelevisionsociety award, in the Single Documentary category.
This is kind of mad for me personally, as so far I've edited two feature documentaries and both of them have been nominated for RTS awards! Not that I can claim all the credit, of course - I've been very fortunate to work on amazing projects with (and about) great people.
Thank you to Director/Producer Havana Marking @markingfilms_inc and Producer Natasha Dack @tigerlilyproductions for bringing me on board to help tell this incredible story. Also to @tom.turner.scf for capturing brilliant footage, and the rest of the edit team, who I won't name here as I'm not sure who is keeping their name private due to the nature of this film 🕵️♂️
And a special thank you to @hopenothate for the important anti-racist and anti-fascist work they do, and for trusting us to share this particular story.
And finally to the @thedocsociety@channel4 and @hiddenlightproductions for making this film happen.
Congratulations also to fellow nominees in the category @mindhousetv and @expectation_tv
The Bay is back tonight! 9pm on ITV, and on ITVX to stream whenever you want. I edited episodes 1, 2 and 3, which were directed by the excellent Shaun Evans (who, if you recently saw him acting in Until I Kill You, is thankfully much less terrifying in real life).
Huge thanks to @sorchanimhaonaigh078 for overseeing all things post production, and to my outstanding assistant across these episodes @nickdacey86
We were really fortunate to have such a brilliant cast, with series regulars like @iammarshathomason@dan.ryan.official@erinshanagher and @andrewdowbiggin as well as new or guest stars including Olwen May, Neil Maskell, Stephen Wight, David Troughton, Suzanne Packer, @celspellman - and an absolute show-stopping performance from @lealeabest
Let me know if you can figure out whodunit! 🔎
