DENSHO w/ @__shigeto 🌸 When approaching a story like Densho—one rooted in history and family—we wanted to honor the past while focusing on the light, love, and resisiliance that carry through generations. Shigeto’s music and spirit were that guiding force. This project came to life in the most organic way—through friendship, shared values, and a deep respect for the story we were telling. Visually, we leaned into memory—shooting on 16mm, photographing family portraits, and incorporating personal achieves to make the film feel tactile and lived in. This project means the world to us. Densho is what I stand for in film—collaborative, intimate, and rooted in real stories that remind us who we are and where we come from.
