Whether seen on the big screen or on TikTok, cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw (@addp ) has been responsible for some of the year’s cinematic images and moments, especially after lensing #Sinners, which pushed her name into the mainstream. Despite this recent success, her path to becoming one of the most talked-about cinematographers wasn’t straightforward. “My parents didn’t even know what a cinematographer was,” Arkapaw says.
