Life’s been such a blur lately, I almost forgot to celebrate one of this year’s biggest milestones. Dis/Comfort, Edition 7 of my beloved brainchild
@thiiirdmagazine is finally here — and I really do think it might be our best yet.
We’ve got four beautiful covers and pages full of stories that sit with you through some of life’s hardest, strangest, and most transformative moments. ✨
This one was born out of discomfort — we chose that theme because so many of us were already living it.
The issue brings together intimate interviews, striking editorials, and honest first-person pieces on everything from gender identity to motherhood, mourning, body image, and the kind of quiet healing that comes from being in nature. It’s about finding understanding — not always comfort — in the hard stuff. ❤️🩹
We don’t pretend to have all the answers, but what we did do was look inward — at how we move through things like grief, identity shifts, trauma, and change — and alongside that, how we find our way back to healing, joy, and affirmation.
Making it took time, patience, and a lot of heart. I’m endlessly grateful to every contributor who poured into this, and especially to our incredible designer
@palmettostudio (
@mariapizzeria &
@disco_mode ) whose care and creativity is all over these pages — and of course to our north star
@nowosnika
It goes without saying, but this issue was also made in honour to all our movements of resistance which are forced to sit in discomfort and we demand the right of a free Palestine 🇵🇸 Free Congo 🇨🇩 Free Sudan 🇸🇩 and peace for all 🇺🇦🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈✊🏾 Let us all stay with the discomfort which forces us to oppose anything less!
