Rhythmic Roots

We’re returning to our roots to celebrate our two-year anniversary with an intimate, outdoor day party 🌸 Join us on the cozy, tree-covered back patio of Tapestry in Kensington. From day into sunset we’ll be dancing to an eclectic selection of upbeat house, italo, minimal grooves, and more. Kicking off the party is @lychee.chann , with her blend of 90’s classics and modern-day groovers, followed by RR curator @nicholas_nothing with his signature feel-good, driving house sound. The galactic garden was lush, gritty, and full of energy… everything we dreamed it would be 🌿 It was such a pleasure curating the side room and collaborating with @livingcolor.events & @flow.state.ent for the Elevate Synesthesia warehouse party!! Thank you to @bateeest @naetenn @nicholas_nothing & @nuni_music_ for the thoughtfully curated sets that kept the floor moving 😮‍💨 Special thanks to @frattura.gallery for the creative vision, @standingmatt.dj for lighting the room so beautifully, and @amv.3.416 for making the KV2s bang. The energy was HIGH at our @standardtime.to event last Friday! Not even a flight delay could stop this party, @cinthie_dj came in hot with a chunky, high-energy house set that had the place popping! @nicholas_nothing and @randomdoug warmed up the floor with ease and restraint 🙂‍↔️ Big thanks to @torontoafterdark & @return_revolve for bringing @rhythmic__roots on board and helping us extend our roots into international soil 🌿 And a special shoutout to @varun.tkgs for the custom booth projections, and controlling them remotely all the way from Mumbai! The Berlin Queen of House is back! Standard Time, Toronto After Dark, Return&Revolve, and Rhythmic Roots present @cinthie_dj with @nicholas_nothing and @randomdoug Cinthie is a true house music connoisseur who has been shaping dance floors around the world since the 1990s. As the force behind Berlin’s iconic record store Elevate Berlin and Crystal Grooves label, she continues to build her legacy as a champion of pure, driving house. Her sets join the dots between the swing of New York, the rawness of Chicago, and the energy of Berlin. They’re stripped back and emotive, always married to an irresistible groove. Nicholas Nothing is a house DJ, producer, and the curator of @rhythmic__roots . He’s played at the city’s most beloved dancefloors, sharing the decks with the likes of Black Loops, Chaos in the CBD, Chris Stussy, and more. His music is defined by warm atmospheres and raw rhythmic grooves. Expect to hear him effortlessly transition between styles as he brings a feel-good energy and irresistible groove to the dancefloor. RandomDoug has developed a versatile house, tech house, and techno sound through his involvement in the Toronto scene since the early 2000s. He has held a residency at Comfort Zone, played top venues across the city, and appeared at The BPM Festival in 2020. Known for his community-focused approach, he co-founded @return_revolve with his wife in 2019 to showcase local and international talent. R&R is celebrating its 7-year anniversary at this party!
