FRIDAY APRIL 17 Rhythm & Carousel present @jnk_inoue , a Tokyo-born, London-based wax-slinger for a night rooted in 90’s Japanese house, rugged breaks, and sub rattling electro. As a resident of @toi.toi.musik and @cartulismusic , Junki has been a consistent presence in London’s vast underground. In 2021, he founded @saisei_london , a record label dedicated to reissuing overlooked works of Japanese electronic music. Carousel’s resident vinyl addict @mary____wax will be setting the tone for the evening with an extended warm-up, digging deep into his ever-growing collection. This one’s not to miss! Okay~ after a rollercoaster of a past few days, we have some bad (and some good) news. Bad news first: @livwutang is unable to come tomorrow due to circumstances outside of her control. Good news: legend @mikeservito has graciously agreed to fill in for her (woohoo!) Also, we’re raising funds for @torontoindigenousharmreduction through a donation box by the bar. On Sat Nov. 15, we gather once again on the dancefloor for a special techno fundraiser for Palestine🍉 We’re honored to present an all-local lineup of incredible artists guiding us through a night where we move together in solidarity, and hope. Lineup: @measuredivide @aniseee_3.14 @kj_daragma @chafic__ This fundraiser is made possible through the generosity of our community: @rhythm__space , who have provided their beautiful space and sound system to us; @saltymmz , who also helped provide the sound system; and @kj_daragma , who brought this all together. Thanks to them, and to the generosity of our lineup of artists, 100% of proceeds will be donated to the PCRF, with no exception. Sat October 25th - We’re back at @soundsgoodtoronto to showcase another selection of talented artists from Montreal’s blossoming underground community🔌 Joining us for this round: @analog.volts mainstays @jalilus and @artphorm Originally from Morocco and now based in Montreal, Jalil is a devoted selector, producer, and the driving force behind the hotly tipped Raw Feelings parties. With a deep passion for crate-digging, he specializes in unearthing rare gems from the ’80s and ’90s. On the bill as well we have @cairo.xpress co-founder, Artphorm, a dedicated digger with a bag packed full of minimal grooves and heady rhythms. Expect stripped down house, brain massaging breaks, and intergalactic electro as these two selectors give us a glimpse into their unique sonic perspectives. See you on the dancefloor! HAUSMATES IS BACK FRIDAY SEPT 19… this time at our favourite room in the city @rhythm__space ! Joining us is UK-based wax-slinger and label-head @truly___madly . A wizard behind the decks and a true master of the craft, Truly Madly is regarded as one of the most dedicated diggers in the scene. Known for his ability to seamlessly blend punchy basslines, euphoria inducing breaks, and deep, hypnotic rhythms, it’s always a journey on the dancefloor while he’s in the booth. As the mind and curator behind @mindhelmet records, he has spent the last few years formulating a steady push against the boundaries of the dancefloor, carving out a unique space and sound in the dance music underground. With contributions from artists like Sweely, youandewan, Gene On Earth, Boulderhead, and a host of talented up and coming producers, Mindhelmet is a record label that continuously provides forward thinking dance-floor weaponry.
