Repost from @theloftchicago • If you've been paying attention to Jeff and or Wilco in the past few years, you are well versed with Jeff's big love for these amazing rubber bridge guitars made by Rueben Cox at @oldstyleguitarshop in LA, CA. Each one arrives with its own sound and personality and idiosyncrasies... like kids. Lovable, all! Most have been those old department store student model stencil guitars but here is one Reuben made for just Jeff from scratch. It's a Tele-like made out of a masonite hollow body build like an old Stratotone or Danelectro. We added the great lakes sticker to the deluxe shaped guard because Jeff wanted to have the great lakes sticker on it. You have a better reason?! This currently lives in the studio but did tour with Wilco for a bit this past year. Might again. Watch for it. Thanks Reuben! OH and there is a documentary about Reuben and his wonderful creations. Jeff is in it. Is it out yet? Maybe? I dunno.
