From my grandpa discovering Jaws to us brother chasing it today, it’s all come full circle. Premiering this Sunday at the Maui arts and culture center. i’ve had the privilege and honor of doing what i love to be doing in film for 20 years. i didn’t know anyone in the business when i started and there was only one DP i knew who was a woman of color. i remember staring at her picture like she was a goddess. i was drawn to the few people of color in the film business, because i felt like we were all climbing our way up together. i hope my experiences, the good, the bad, and the ugly, can help a woman of color see her dreams come true.
