“BLACK HAIR REIMAGINED”
As always I am extremely grateful to be apart of something so major within my community. Last week was such a great reflection of the talent and work of multiple amazing hair stylist in our industry. I left feeling deeply inspired and also grateful that I was able to create with these talented artist and also amazing stylist as well. I am sooooooo appreciative of this experience. I got to work with @issacvpoleon , @malcolm.marquez and @hair__poet to create some otherworldly looks. This show ment a lot and I want to thank @jawaraw and @jrodlacks for bringing me on. I am extremely grateful to be considered by people within our community. Thank you to my amazing team for your hard work, I am beyond grateful. Black people are constantly doing our best to reinvent culture and create new worlds this was a definitely a manifestation of that.

Happy to be apart of something so major! Mommy & Daddy I’m featured in a book (they seen it already). It’s an absolute honor to be in this book amongst so many other talented makeup artist. It’s an unreal feeling to go through a book and see your work on the pages. WOW. Honestly when I got emailed about it I thought it wasn’t real, but it absolutely was! This has been a blessing truly. I am sooooo grateful to be chosen to be apart of this. I want to thank all my collaborators and the people who truly respect me as an artist. People in the industry that want me to be apart of the things or see me and my work as valuable, thank you. Thank you to my manager, my family and friends for the endless support, love & care, and advice. To my assistants that have been there to show up and support me and help me with these visions, thank you I really appreciate y’all because without y’all I don’t know where my head would be half of the times. Thank you to @phaidonpress for creating this book because as an artist it important to feel seen because we sensitive about our ish. This is truly only the beginning for me I have so many ways to go. 🙏🏾

@kelela “idea 1” Glad to be apart of this amazing vision. Not sure if you many of you know I been knowing/working with Kelela for almost 10 years. She has been my client for a long time, I been through all the different versions of her and I am grateful to still be here witnessing all of these amazing moments. From the time I heard cherry coffee when I was working at urban outfitters I knew, she just has this ethereal voice that just encapsulates you. This video is just soooo fab. Laquan Smith AW26! I just wanted to say thank you Laquan for bringing me on to be apart of the show again I am truly grateful, I also got to work with the iconic Patti Wilson. I had so much fun creating this look for the runway. We collaborated on something that was sexy chic and edgy with this dramatic kind of feline sharp lined eye with a glossy lined lip. I was living for the drama in the eyes. Thank you @narsissist for coming through with the support we would not have been able to pull this look off with you guys.
