This year I promised myself that I would put the art first, truly. No more focusing on just big names and big brands to stay relevant. Just great ART. Shit people can FEEL. Honestly “PARADISE” is the most love I’ve received from my peers. You guys don’t know how much that means to me, and I didn't know how much I NEEDED THIS. To everyone who was involved, this was the cherry on top for us. We didn’t go into it expecting anything. We just wanted to paint our people. We wanted to feel proud when walked away from set.
My dad was recently diagnosed with dementia, which put a lot of shit in perspective for me. If my memories begin to fade, at least I have a body of work that I can be proud of and that can live on beyond me. That’s the type of work I want to give to this world until my last breath on this Earth.
So Vimeo, thank you. Directors Library, thank you. People who hit me about this piece, thank you. This is giving me the sunshine I need in this weird time. Be well, and hug your loved ones. ❤️🎨
