Sometimes you get be a part of something truly magic! Our first ever Mountain Stitch Retreat was filled up with everything that we had hoped for …and more. A fantastic mix of stitchers of all stages and all ages. That hurry is generally not a great speed. That more is sometimes just too much. It’s a message I often need to steep myself in. So today- I got myself a permanent reminder. And the best part: my dear friend Erin and I schemed to do this together!!! Elk lakes has the best otherworldly reflections! 🎨. There’s something special about immersing yourself in a landscape in all kinds of weather, getting to know the area and each other without external distractions. 8 of us gathered at Elk lakes hut last week to unplug and create. 🎨. We hiked, painted, shared meals and birthday cake, plus broke out the ukulele, guitar and songbook every evening! So fun! We had the park to ourselves, except for the howling wolves and a really chubby porcupine. The sweet huckleberries were still plentiful and eaten by the handful at a time. 😊. For almost 5 years Clawhammer Press has been without a stable retail option in downtown Fernie. I’m excited to announce that the @fernieartscoop has accepted me (back) as a place to display my prints alongside my partner in all things @radishandpatch starting now. I have to figure out the best way to get everything organized there, but we actually got quite a number of prints there—some framed and some unframed—including my new Natural Geometry series, along with some local fernie-centric stuff.
