Oxygen and Water. Life essentials that only come from nature. Feeling so much gratitude ( and concern) for this amazing, fragile, resilient and breath-making beauty that is Earth… the one and only. Happy Earth Day 🌎🌲☀️ #earthday2026 #handlewithcare #gratitude #giftsofthegreenworld #dontmesswiththewater

Into the forest we go… putting ourselves in the way of beauty and the remarkable capacity of nature. A balm for the soul and a reminder that there is so much beauty and resilience still #naturenurtures #nurturenatureandshenurturesyourightback

Last days of “ From the Source” group exhibit at @ferniemuseum show ends March 15th I so appreciate this dynamic and talented tribe of ladies and will forever cherish our shared experience❤️🙏🏻 From my artist statement for this exhibit- I’ve visited Elk Lakes Provincial Park several times over the years, the first in 1980. It has always felt sacred to me, the headwaters of the Elk River, a ribbon of life for the Elk Valley and beyond. It’s a sanctuary and a living example of the remarkable capacity of nature at work. To experience this special place, off grid for a few days and out in the elements with this talented seasoned group of en plain air painters, was enlivening, inspiring…and humbling. I so appreciate being included and the gentle nudge to get me painting outside. I loved it all: spectacular scenery, hiking, painting, laughing, singing, wolf howls, shared meals and great company. I marvel at the natural beauty of this place, and also, at every quiet bit of wonder that lies unseen and underfoot. The process of painting slows my pace, sharpens my focus and invites me to explore and appreciate more deeply the life nurturing gifts of the green world. Back in my studio I am transported there again. I find hope knowing we are part of this remarkable and resilient web of life. As I busy my hands, I’m offering ovations to it all.

Wow! Thank you everyone who showed up to support opening night of our show at the beautiful Museum Gallery. It was great to see you all, chat with old friends and make new acquaintances. What a great experience it has been to gather with this group of exceptional women, first in the wilds of Elk Lakes Provincial Park to paint, share meals and stories, and then in Fernie for the presentation of our works for this show. The camaraderie, conversations and shared love of painting nature, will keep my spirits high for months. Thank You 🙏🏻💚 “From the Source” is @ferniemuseum until March15. @anneanderson2761 @marie_christine_claveau_art @melaniemacvoy @valerie.speer @christinaolsonartist @julia_keenliside @anieradish #artistsfornature #fernieart #ferniestoke #pleinairpainting #canadianlandscapepaintings

We explored the magical Inland Temperate Rainforest of Russel Creek area with an impressive group of people concerned about these increasingly rare and irreplaceable ecosystems. We heard from Dr. Rachel Holt , trained in the science of conservation biology, and land management, about where the B.C. government is at with promised paradigm shift of forestry management practices ( Old Growth Strategic Review Recommendations) … and it’s not good! They are actually moving backwards! All the more important for knowledge sharing gatherings such as this! We also heard from Joe Karthein of @savewhats left conservation society who shared his story from the front lines and how and why he’s motivated to advocate for better forestry management practices starting with our government = BCTS Organizer of this event - Andrea Fox @elemental_journeys is a kind, wise and fearless forest defender with a passion for bringing people together to connect with nature and knowledge sharing with the upmost respect for indigenous peoples. @tnelso1962 helped by demonstrating UBC Big Tree registry’s guidelines for measuring trees. @elemental_journeys @savewhats @nu_neighboursunited #savewhatsleft #inlandtemperateforestofbc #gratitude #naturenurtures #russellcreek
