21 day to go and the DUCKS are multiplying! Today’s ducks feature the drag flag with the black trans, non binary, and trans flag. Here is Florida, there has been legislation since 2023 attacking Drag show. HB 1423/SB 1438 was passed in 2023 and has been through appeals courts and in May of 2025 the ban was blocked. That doesn’t mean the fight stops there. Vague and weaponized language makes this very dangerous and the drag law Hans been put back into effect. Florida Drag Defense will be hosting a virtual meeting tomorrow at 7p EST @qommittee This is a chance to learn about what’s really happening, join with likeminded individuals, and fight back! @equalityfl #blacktrans #trans #nonbinary #drag #ducks

Taken directly from @aclutx . While SB12 targets drag, and forces artists to comply with a vague law, it is important to know your rights! Family friendly drag shows, pride festivals, and drag story time is NOT banned under SB12. I also highly recommend downloading @qommittee drag defense handbook. Now more than ever, we need to remain educated & steadfast in representation. Drag is self expression! Drag is art! Drag is not a crime! Stay safe my friends! ✊🏻 📷 by @charriecreative

📯ATTENTION OKIES! State officials are demanding cities act as censors who “prevent” drag performances before they happen. Here’s what’s really happening: ✓ Most Oklahoma drag venues are completely exempt from anti-drag law: Bars, clubs, or anywhere that checks IDs, charges admission, or excludes minors = not covered by this law. ✓ All family-friendly drag shows can still be performed anywhere for any audience. Like always, outdoor drag or shows with mixed audiences should be family-friendly. Almost all drag shows are not “obscene.” Lip syncing, dancing, comedy, costumes, makeup = protected speech. Learn How to Protect Yourself, full definitions, tips and material vetted by attorneys in our Know Your Rights Guide. Link in Bio

First Baptist Church of Columbia, Missouri is hosting drag queen singer/songwriter Flamy Grant at a family-friendly, all-ages, FREE SHOW on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 6:00pm. Church staff have received unpleasant calls and there has been online activity indicating a protest is being formed. Help us build a human wall of rainbows and love to shield attendees from the protesters. Here’s how: Join us for a LAWN PARTY in front of the church at 5:15pm on Jan. 31. WHAT TO WEAR Your most rainbow-iest frocks! WHAT TO BRING Pride flags, rainbow umbrellas, anything you can hold up to create a colorful barrier of support between protesters and people arriving for the concert. There is always a chance no protest will materialize. Worst case, we get to play games on the lawn and Flamy will sing a few acoustic songs. But if the hate shows up, we’ll have the love ready to shine. And please stay for the show! It’s free, and donations will be accepted to support The Center Project, serving mid-Missouri LGBTQ+ families and youth.

WASHINGTON STATE NIGHT CLUB EXPLOITS LOCAL QUEER COMMUNITY Jake’s on Fourth is a nightclub in Olympia, Washington known for its historical ties to the local queer community. In recent years, it has changed ownership and reopened with renovations. Synergy, a drag queen based in the area, produced many night life events for Jake’s. She and others contributed to the success of the establishment with much of the labor never being compensated. Syngergy’s Halloween drag show at JAke’s was abruptly halted mid-performance when one of the owners intervened, citing that the production had run overtime. This interruption has been disputed, as the show’s delay was a direct result of the venue’s initial failure to set up punctually. However, before this night, the owners already decided to cancel all future drag shows at the venue. In response to the situation, Synergy and other community partners have pulled their business from Jake’s. They are holding the owners accountable for their harmful practice of appropriating queer culture and exploiting the local community. Support Synergy and the many voices calling for Jake’s on Fourth to face consequences for these actions! Attend her upcoming show and sign our petition!

🚨 FLORIDA DRAG EMERGENCY 🚨 This is urgent. Florida’s anti-drag law just went back into effect after being blocked for 2.5 years. The attorney general is already weaponizing it to harass drag performers and venues. He’s subpoenaing restaurants for guest lists. He’s demanding legal shows be canceled. He’s acting on tips from hate groups like Moms for Liberty who complain about shows they didn’t even attend. The law lets him call anything “lewd”—a word with NO legal definition. Your costumes, your choreography, your songs—anything can be prosecuted. BUT DON’T STOP PERFORMING DRAG. DON’T STOP ATTENDING DRAG. 🎭 Performers: Know your rights and protect yourself 👏 Audiences: Show up, support drag, and TIP TIP TIP ✍️ Everyone: Sign the petition to stop this (link in bio) Drag is protected free speech. This law is likely still unconstitutional. Federal courts already said so. Uthmeier is exploiting a legal technicality—and we’re fighting back. SILENCE IS SUBMISSION. Keep dragging, Florida. 👉 Full guide + petition: [link in bio] 📧 Need help? DM us. We’re all volunteers but we can try to help. #FloridaDrag #FreeSpeech #DragIsNotACrime #LGBTQ #KnowYourRight

Description: The first slide shows an image of Hilary Rivers in a pink frame surrounded by black illustrations of butterflies, with a rainbow background, and white text stating “Celebrating Hilary Rivers.” Remaining slides have the rainbow background with a pink table including black text. 🦋 On June 26, Hilary Rivers was detained by ICE outside of immigration court. “Officers asked my name. I stayed quiet. My lawyer also didn’t answer. They seemed to understand I was the person they wanted.” said Rivers. “They grabbed me, pushed me against the wall and shackled me. My lawyer tried to intervene, but they pushed him aside. They put my hands and feet in chains. I’ve never been arrested before. It was terrifying.” Hilary experienced horrific conditions during her three months of detainment. She was finally released on September 20 and performed in her first show since her return on November 7. Hilary continues to persevere despite losing so much. “We have to fight for our dreams. I paid a high price, but nothing is impossible. Don’t let them break you. Don’t sign things you don’t understand. Know your rights. We all have the same worth, no matter where we’re from.” A GoFundMe page has been launched to help Rivers rebuild her life and cover medical costs. NO ONE IS ILLEGAL ON STOLEN LAND! All individuals in the United States have rights, regardless of status. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS • Memorize important phone numbers. • Create written authorization for an emergency contact to make medical and legal decisions for your children. • Tell trusted parties if they can search the ice detainee locator if you are detained. • You do not have to discuss your immigration or citizenship status. • Do not run, argue, resist, or fight and always keep your hands visible. • Do not open the door for immigration officers. They must have a warrant signed by a judge to enter without your consent. No ICE forms are signed by judges. • If you are a US citizen or have lawful status, carry your documentation. Do not interfere with any investigation or put yourself in harm’s way.

Federal court blocks drag ban at West Texas A&M University, as they see it as likely that the students will prove the ban violates the First Amendment. We applaud @thefireorg and @wtamuspectrum for this monumental win!! Judge Leslie Southwick states that: “Because theatrical performances plainly involve expressive conduct with the protection of the First Amendment, and because we find the plaintiffs’ drag show is protected expression, discrimination among such shows must pass strict scrutiny” Drag is protected under the First Amendment. Stay protected by knowing your rights. /news/the-drag-defense-handbook Sign our petition, qo-lead by Texas queens Isis Paris York and @theonlymaxine , to keep drag protected under the First Amendment: /petitions/stop-attacks-on-drag-and-pride-protect-free-expression-nationwide
