Details of my wedding suit made using traditional Bengali nakshi katha stitching by the amazing @afsanaferdousiaf & her incredible team in Dhaka. Afsana’s studio specialises in storytelling through katha stitch. We worked together to sketch out the scene which included notes from my village in Sylhet such as the rice fields, tea gardens and river boats. The right side has Marble Arch in London where my wife and I first met followed by the place in Sri Lanka where I asked her to marry me. Sneaky inside pocket detailing as well of my 3 teams 🤫

There’s very few people in the London music scene that I love and respect more than @provhatr - the founder of @daytimers_uk . 5 years ago he emailed me one of his unreleased tracks and told me he was going to start a South Asian collective and if I could do a call and give him advice. We spoke and I loved everything he told me he was hoping to do and I’ve done my best to help him / Daytimers ever since. He’s a sick DJ, a sick producer and musician, and he genuinely and humbly cares about uplifting the South Asian community. He rarely books himself on Daytimers parties, and he’s sitting on so much amazing music that I constantly beg him to release. But he prefers to quietly work behind the scenes trying to uplift others (including artists like myself). We’ve been meaning to go b2b for a long time and it felt right to finally do it on @nts_radio on the eve of Daytimers 5th birthday celebrations. Slides 1-4: our initial conversations when he told me his idea of setting up Daytimers. Slide 5: when I first played his track on NTS and the chat room demanded a rewind! Slide 6: me introducing him to @ahadadreamx who he went on to co-found @dialledin_ with (alongside @dhruvacurly and Ashan) Slide 7: him interviewing me for the second ever Daytimers podcast. Slides 8: the @daytimers_uk and @nonazar.in 24 hour livestream raising money for the Indian farmers protest and the chat room saying my Footwork mix was x-rated / 18+ / haram / “subscribe to OnlyRags” 😅 Slide 9: me amazed at how much money they raised and how so many South Asian artists came together Slide 10: we’ve been in the studio cooking 👨🏾‍🍳👨🏾‍🍳👀🤫 Slide 11: catch me at the London leg of the 8 city celebrations for Daytimers 5th bday tomorrow.
