If I’m being honest, we’ve been hesitant to program overhead pressing in our adult group training program. So many people have shoulder injuries, mobility restrictions etc.- that pressing overhead didn’t seem worth it.
I was wrong.
We just needed a variation that works well for adults.
The seated see-saw press is a game changer.
This variation utilizes more thoracic rotation when pressing overhead. This creates “more space “ at the shoulder joint allowing the shoulder to move more freely.
You can also change the grip of the dumbbell to accommodate your individual pressing groove.
