Most corporate wellness programs track participation. The best ones track risk.
True workforce wellness isn’t about how employees feel today - it’s about whether they’re set up to move well, feel well, and stay productive years from now. Just like cardiovascular health, musculoskeletal health follows a risk-based model. When movement limitations, poor sleep, stress, and injury history stack up, performance and well-being decline.
Movement is often the missing piece. Many employees stay “active” while quietly accumulating pain that impacts sleep, stress, and engagement. The earlier we create awareness around these risks, the more effectively we can act - without complexity or guesswork.
That’s why modern wellness programs focus on simple, scalable screening that drives insight and action. When organizations understand where risk exists, they can target what matters most and support long-term health, resilience, and productivity.

If your knees cave in or you rotate to one side during a squat, that’s usually a sign your body is compensating.
Instead of trying to cue yourself through it, use the resistance band to create the problem—then let your body solve it.
By placing the band around your upper body and adding rotation, your system is forced to react automatically and find better alignment.
That’s the goal.
Not just conscious correction.
Better movement that happens without thinking.
Sometimes the best way to fix compensation is to exaggerate it first.

Asymmetries: When They’re Normal vs. When They Become a Risk Factor | Movement Podcast EP 91

The Missing Piece in Shoulder Rehab & Performance | Movement Podcast | S7 EP97
In our latest podcast, Gray and Lee are discussing the shoulder - and how to create healthy, durable ones. Too often, we forget that the shoulder developed stability in a closed chain position while we were infants, but we don't try rehabbing a shoulder this way. Sometimes you just have to get back to basics when working on a shoulder! Check out the full episode to hear the full discussion.

FMS Nivel 1 y Nivel 2 en acción.
Nivel 1: aprender a evaluar.
A obtener información real del movimiento y entender qué estás viendo.
Nivel 2: aprender a hacer algo con esa información.
Transformarla en decisiones, en programación y en intervención.
Porque si no evalúas bien…
difícilmente vas a intervenir bien.
How do you scale a wellness and performance program across an entire law enforcement agency?
At the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, a model built on FMS screening and Symmio self-assessment is helping shift the focus from reactive care to proactive risk management.
By identifying movement limitations, integrating lifestyle data, and prioritizing high-risk individuals, this approach supports better decision-making, improved readiness, and long-term officer health.
This case study highlights how principles from professional sports performance can be successfully adapted to public service at scale.

The Quick Screen builds off the SFMA Top Tier to give you a fast, practical way to identify painful patterns and asymmetries. From there, you can move directly into breakouts and uncover the true movement diagnosis.
Screen → Identify pain → Break it down → Treat the cause
Better screening leads to better decisions.

Firefighters aren’t “general population” clients - and programming alone won’t cut it.
If you’re a fitness professional working with (or looking to work with) those in the fire industry, movement screening and referral collaboration are non-negotiable. Tools like FMS help identify injury risk early, but the real impact comes when fitness, rehab, and performance professionals stay connected.
That’s where Symmio fits in. Symmio allows you to create a referral ecosystem with physical therapists, chiropractors, and healthcare providers - so firefighters don’t fall through the cracks and you stay positioned as a trusted performance partner.
If you are working with the fire service, Symmio can be a game-changer to help you screen quickly and efficiently, identify risk factors, and address them before they become a problem.
Watch the video, read the full article, and explore how Symmio can support your work with first responders.
