Some people are obsessed with the ocean. @pressureproject are those people (as are we!).
Based on the Sunshine Coast, they run freediving courses, turtle snorkel tours, sinkhole retreats and tiger shark adventures across Australia and beyond. Heading north? They've got you. Dreaming of tiger sharks in the Maldives or freediving in Bali? Also them.
And if you've ever wanted to swim with whales, their Whale Week retreats on the Sunshine Coast are running August and September 2026. Worth pencilling in now.
Find them on epyic.com. Link in bio. 🐋🌊
No personal space. Testing boundaries and this Oceanic Whitetip Shark, didn't give up.
It’s not always freediving. Sometimes it’s floating completely frozen on the surface. Full eye contact, zero flinches and a fin up as a shield. Any splash changes the game with these apex opportunists.
An intense encounter with these ones on the Shark Island Retreat with @pressureproject

Have launched a blog surrounding some of the observations around our Swim with Whales program. One of the best things about getting out there is not only showing people this wonderful blue world but also being able to learn more about the Whales and their behaviour. See link to blog in story.
Happy 100th birthday to the one and only Sir @davidattenborough 🐋🌍
Someone who has inspired generations to fall in love with the ocean, wildlife and this incredible planet we all get to call home. We honestly look up to him so much at The Pressure Project and try to do our small part too — through education, ocean connection, conservation and creating experiences that make people care even more deeply for the underwater world.
That’s also why during our annual Whale Night on the 20th of June, we celebrate the start of the humpback whale migration here in Australia while raising funds for @netsoutnow 🫶🏼
Because protecting the ocean starts with people who love it.
Thank you David, for inspiring so many of us to explore, protect and never lose our sense of wonder 💙

Just got back from a freediving and spearfishing extravaganza with the @noobspearo crew. Big shout out to @pressureproject for teaching some old dogs new tricks.
Was super lucky to be there when @nof_fke nailed his depth dive.
Stay tuned for much more including some mean Balinese feeds and a few epic days of spearfishing in 1000m+ of water!
So this happened..

One breathtaking encounter with a pregnant mumma Tiger Shark. I lined up for a dive alongside her, and she came straight in for a look before heading over to @katenewlyn 🤩

Whale season is just around the corner, and it’s got me so excited. This was the best experience I’ve ever had on a whale swim. We were dropped off near the mouth of Mooloolaba River, where we swam away from the boat, then stayed in the same spot while two whales kept swimming up to us, circling, and checking us out again. This went on for about 45 minutes until we decided to get out of the water, and only then did they choose to leave once we were all back in the boat. It was truly incredible. We let nature take its course, and it gave us a moment I will never forget 🐋
On board with @pressureproject 🚤
It’s mostly just silence underwater. That’s why I love it.
I love it because when I dive I am surrounded with people that understand me.
Pressure releases when you fully embrace your body and can let go of any thoughts. One last big and deep breath, and you feel like you can stay under forever.
👯♀️ I can’t wait to plan a next trip. Any female freedivers keen to plan something together? Let me know in the comments, and I you have any ideas!
