My first sundance was in 1995. My film DRIVE BABY DRIVE make the cut that year but I went as a guest of the biggest sponsor @kodak this sponsor badge got me in everywhere I didn’t even need a ticket. It was magic. Kodak invited me because they had supported the film and I had already been directing music videos for about 10 years at that point, all on film. I did screen the film in Park City because that was also the year myself and several others rag tag sundance rejects started Slamdance. Which eventually came into form the following year as a true film festival in Park City.
11 years later my Punk Rock documentary AMERICAN HARDCORE did get in to Sundance in 2006 and we sold the film to @sonyclassics thank you @trevor_groth and @cooperdance . Been back a few times as a producer. Grateful for all @sundanceorg has done for indie film.
