After delivering a killer track on our Diffraction EP compilation and a series of highlighted projects on Hivern Discs, @_iroaka_ returns to the label with club-ready 4-tracker Dimensions. We are really proud to release the music of friends who create such quality electronic music. On the A side, Dimensions and Direction 0 original mixes bring a driving and bleepy techno sound shaped by the duo’s characteristic psychedelic design. The B side is a strictly remix affair: @humanspacemachine_ turns Dimensions into deeper techno territory while French duo @atomic__moog presents a slow-burning downtempo take on Direction 0 for early or late into the night. We are super excited to announce @polychrome_audio seventh release: Underwater EP by @rds_dl out on Friday 29/11 via @oneyewitness 👁️ Rein shared a few words about the project: « I’ve collaborated with Polychrome for quite some time. I played at several parties and contributed to their recent VA. Throughout this collaboration, we became friends. Hervé, one of the core members of the group, asked me numerous times to create an EP together. It wasn’t until his wedding that I finally said *yes* (how fitting!). The EP opens with « Laak, » a track inspired by my performance at the club. It features a low reese-bass that forms the core foundation of the track. We decided to dedicate the entire A-side to this tune as a 45 RPM single. Side B focuses more on the emotional aspects we appreciate. « Underwater (Dream Mix) » features techno foundations and trancy melodies, named for its (albeit) accidental underwater sound. After offering @polychrome_audio a beautiful closing composition on its various artists compilation Reflection EP, Rotterdam live act, producer, and DJ @julian__mata_disk returns to the label with LFH-Proxy EP set for release on Friday 27.06 Featuring two original club tracks and their interpretations by producers @eversines and @jopie.leaks , this project further cements Julian Determann’s singular musical identity while opening it up to new dimensions and patterns. Life Force Harmonizer (“LFH”) opens the dance by capturing the sweet nostalgia experienced during club morning hours. Mata Disk’s sound palette is here in full display, the energy carried by sharp drum design and a propulsive bassline is lifted by melodious pads offering the track its tenderness. On the B1, Rotterdam producer Jopie creatively re-imagined these feelings, stripping down and reshaping LFH onto a track flirting with breaks and IDM progressions. With Proxy, Mata Disk dims the light slightly, with a drum workout track to keep the dance alive. The very progressive and low-end focused build-up paired with a tension-building synthesized lead offers the A2 track a smooth build-up. De Lichting member Eversines elegantly switches the sound narrative, transforming Proxy into a dark electro-leaning tech house track carrying the same tension. Polychrome Radio returns to @echoboxradio today at 18:00 📡 Selecting music for today’s program is one of Barcelona’s most refined vinyl DJ @momasedj . Our co-founder @___herve shared a line-up with the Colombian artist during a performance at @lautbarcelona and was impressed by her ability to bring the dance floor to life. It is in between the lines that Cami’s music lives, house, techno and electro that sits deep while steering emotions at the right moments. Her groove and energy transpires both in her music and her presence behind the decks. Barcelona is a city of electronic music hosting a refreshing ecosystem of artists, and Momasé’s talent and perspective is the perfect example of it. She has been anchoring herself in local club programs, sharpening her skills and feelings for the loud systems. This Friday, we are ready to welcome DJ @sotofett for a rare 4-hours performance in @doka_amsterdam basement. His records hold a special place in our collections, played again and again during our home listening sessions. We asked crew member @__tomstrngr to select and present some of his favorite Sotofett tracks. These compositions display the Norwegian producer’s unique sound and approach to music production. — 1. Current 82 [Sakho Recordings] - Probably DJ Sotofett’s most famous track, Current 82 is so much more that the sum of its parts. The drums, those soft pads and THAT bassline manage to somehow reach an incredible blend of euphoria and melancholia. The ultimate sunrise track. 2. My Spirit is in Techno Music [Wania] - A weapon that Hervé often manages to squeeze into his sets. This track is representative of the sound DJ Sotofett reaches for at his current @tresorberlin residency: true Techno with soul. 3. Dub You Loved Me [Wania] - The last few years have seen DJ Sotofett collaborate with @sparrowlaura on many incredible releases. Often falling somewhere between Detroit Techno, electro and Dub, this one leans on the dubber side with reverbs cracked to the max to devastating effect. 4. Digi-Dubi-Trip-Mix Init [Thug Records] - One can’t overstate Dub’s influence on DJ Sotofett’s music but that one is next level. Dubby yes but also weird and full of personality, the sounds of a true original who doesn’t bend to the rules. 5. Blot [Wania] - Another LNS collab that sits firmly on the techno side. Ah those pads.. 6. I got lucky enough to catch Dj Sotofett playing when I was visiting a Tokyo. 2+h of unreleased productions cut to dubplate for his Resonance of Dub event. Polychrome Radio returns to @echoboxradio airwaves with its first episode of the year this Friday 06.02. To kick-start things, crew member @___herve invited friend and creative partner @stefandaniels to trade records during an hour, celebrating a bond that is born out of a common love for this culture. “Our collaboration relies on curiosity, care and a commitment to turn ideas into projects. Such exchange requires effort, alignment and focus. This selection of music embodies that openness and hopeful feeling, a gradual musical push from deeper grooves to progressive sounds reminding us to keep going” The recording will air live this Friday at 18:00. A couple of months have passed since our first Polychrome Invites club night at @doka_amsterdam and @miaofilm poetic lens takes us back 🪄 When inviting @dj_delivero and @oberman_sjoerd to take-over this room for seven hours, our only expectation was to hear two great DJs interpret the moment. In a smoke-filled basement, @geri_______________ ’s laser pierced through, turning the room into a sound and light vortex. The room was full, and a sense of communion was felt to the music of Thomas and Sjoerd. These are the moments that we dream to create. We would like to thank the artists for offering us their best, Geri for his light direction, Doka for hosting us and all of you for making it such a cosy dance!
