On May 8th Susan heads to Sissi’s for a dance and wiggle to hot and steamy rhythm and bass. Joining us from overseas, from the other side of the country and from here locally are Leonce, Wantigga and Benny2.
Leonce — uncompromising club tracks, bridging US urban sound and experimental electronica, supported by names like Fred again.. and Honey Dijon.
Benny2 — Amsterdam-born, weaving house, techno, and bass into playful, tension-filled sets that lock you straight into the dance.
Wantigga — hard hitting UK club heat, delivering soulful, groove-heavy selections.
With joy, tis Susan who drives in her own lane platforming bold, forward-facing sounds and artists with something to say. This night also marks the release of Wantigga’s 2NITE EP, landing right where it belongs: on the dancefloor.

last week, the Netherlands was hit by a blizzard named Goretti. I had a radio show scheduled during Miss Blizz(ard), so if I was going to make it to RRFM in time, it felt only right to play a set that moves like careful footsteps on a slippery surface, with somewhere to be. attentive, determined, patient. just like me and my footsteps that day.
I soundtracked Miss Goretti with dubby, spaced-out house and techno. longer blends, deeper cuts, and enough room for echoes to wander. with a few silly bits too, because nothing is more absurd than trying to bike, walk, or drive on frozen Amsterdam roads.

I had the honour of opening IsBurning’s 12 year anniversary at @lofi.amsterdam . I’ve been going to @isburningamsterdam since I was 18 and discovering club music, so to play there myself was very full circle for me and sooooo much fun. cute crowd, a stellar line-up, sweet friends supporting, and doing what I love. what more could I ask for 🥹.

“I could insert quite a couple of uncomfortable anecdotes about my experiences as a DJ as well, and I know from conversations I’ve had many others have their own. Being a FLINTA* person in the music industry can be challenging, and sometimes hard to navigate.
That’s why we wanted to create space for an open conversation. So we can navigate challenges together, hear from other FLINTA people in the industry, ask each other for advice, and learn from each other. I hope everyone who comes leaves feeling more connected, motivated and inspired.
As for the music I’m going to play: dubstep has a super interesting history, and it’s so fun to find and hear the links between the different scenes and eras, and all the genre cross-overs that exist. Since I’m opening the night, I’ll lean more into the sounds that have shaped dubstep and its more minimalist, atmospheric side.”

ANGRY BiRDS PLAY DUBSTEP 🐦⬛🔊
On March 7th we’re gathering at @noordspace for an International Women’s Day night rooted in bass, conversation and community.
What started as a shared desire between Ascha, Maria, Ina and Benny to organise a dubstep night quickly became something bigger. Throughout our music journeys we’ve had many honest conversations with friends and peers about the realities of moving through the electronic music scene as FLINTA* people. The things that energise us and the things that frustrate us.
Instead of keeping those talks behind closed doors, we wanted to open them up. To create a space where like minded people can meet, share experiences and feel connected.
The day starts with a panel talk with women from different areas of the industry (more info to come) and afterwards expect dubstep and closely related bass sounds on a dancefloor where we can fully enjoy the genres we love.
We also invited independent designer @studiojuliettewesseling to shape the space for the night with her light installations.
