It has been a total joy supporting Laura on the production of this project. The work creates reflective narratives through sculpture, via research into collections, local knowledge and conversation - and importantly gives heed to labour and workers, tides and cycles, rhythms and flows. Accompanied by a curated selection of objects at V&A Storehouse including Laura’s jumpsuit designed from research into women’s workwear.

Over 4 days, with our Meri Moo in tow, we walked 50 miles of the South Downs Walk from Amberley to Eastbourne. Through sunshine, hailstones, fields and forests, along rivers and up and down the Seven Sisters, we were reminded that life is for besties 🌻

Delighted to have visited @geologicnotes What is Us and What is Earth @fruitmarketgallery yesterday before taking the train back down the coast.
A beautiful exhibition of “sculpture, drawing and photography from Glasgow based artist Ilana Halperin, whose art seeks to make geological time human; to map the incomprehensible vastness of geological time and the natural world through the knowable familiarity of human experience.”

I had the joy of travelling to Cardiff for a special day event hosted by @makschram as part of the project To Shift a Stone @museumwales and @chaptergallery
“Working with activists, community workers, artists, and museum staff, Sophie developed collaborative ‘tools’ that challenge and reimagine power structures.
These tools range from access templates and new working processes to modified megaphones and ceramic pieces, creating opportunities for shared learning and more equitable collaboration.
The resulting two-part exhibition, To Shift a Stone, focuses on categorisations (National Museum Cardiff) and forms of assembling (Chapter).”
