Did you know you can name a seat at DCA cinema? For a donation of £300 you can select your seat in the cinema, and we will place a plaque on the back with your chosen name and a message. DCA is a charity, and your donation will help to ensure audiences in Dundee continue to have access to the best films from across the world, right here in the city centre. This plaque features a favourite film quote from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade – what would you choose? You could scare the person behind you with “Hello Clarice”, or maybe you visit often enough to say “I’ll be back”? We'd love to see your favourite quotes on our seats! Visit our link in bio to find out more. 🎬

It’s Tuesday Tour time and this week we're taking a look at some exciting experimental printmaking from artist @matthewwilsonart . Matthew recently returned to the studio to follow up from his 2023 RSA funded residency, where he used his time to research and develop a body of work based on reproduction prints of old masters paintings from the RSA collection. Using a combination traditional printmaking skills with matrixes that were 3D printed or CNC routed, Matthew created beautifully detailed images. We talked more about his process when he was here for his residency, have a read at dca.org.uk

We survived Dundead 2026! Thank you to everyone who came along. Whether you were there for the whole festival or for a single screening, we really appreciate your enthusiasm for horror, cult and weird cinema! We're so grateful to our guests who made this year so special. We really enjoyed working with @invisiblewomen_archives on this year's festival - they put together a fantastic selection of vintage films for She's a Maneater and it was great to find out more about each film as part of their introductions. We loved hearing from writer @jessiemcgoff and watching her video essay on the big screen ahead of Trouble Every Day. Director @alexmasciotramilstein_film gave some fascinating and fun insights into the making of his short film Disease. And Scottish-Algerian filmmaker and writer @csnichaouchine created some really personal and insightful programme notes for Roqia. And thanks to @agnesxan for creating this year's eye-catching illustration, @rhiannemargaret for our poster and screen slides, @aoifecawleyart for our screen prints, @jutecafebar for the delicious themed drinks and @holygoatbrewing for bringing back Dundead IPA. What a year!

Dundead day 3 was packed! The first full day of the festival saw the Scottish premiere of Roqia, Camilla of Invisible Women introduced us to Santo vs Frankenstein's Daughter and we had the UK premieres of both short film Animal Math and feature Buffet Infinity (both with great intros from the filmmakers). The day finished with a busy 10th anniversary screening of Raw, introduced by Rachel of Invisible Women. We're now onto the final day of the festival! We've got special guest intros from @jessiemcgoff , @alexmasciotramilstein_film and @invisiblewomen_archives alongside our screenings of Trouble Every Day, Silencio, Her Will Be Done and our closing film The Velvet Vampire. Our Dundead Green Room will be back open on floor -1 with the chance to make your own 'I survived Dundead 2026' badge. Dundead IPA and our special cocktails are available from Jute, and DCA Shop is filled with Dundead merch and titles from Invisible Women's Dundead reading list. See you soon!
