Poster for @neomatter.xyz 's Launch of ABC3D, a Blender and C4D plugin for spatial typography. The plugin enables letters to dance and fly through digital air, which is why we chose a gentle blue tone overall and subtly translucent, 'cloud like' materials for the secondary information set in 3D. The headline enjoys total attention of the viewer but may loose it once they get soaked into the image by small messages here and there that want to be read. Their role between functional element (you'd find the time of the event) and joke (why else would you ever go so close to a poster?)is underlined by little hints, for instance that there will be cake. Featured in @slanted_publishers Experimental Type III Following up on our talk to the class of Prof. Lars Harmsen and Andreas Ruhe (@morphoria_design ) last summer, we got invited to also contribute to the newest edition of Slanted. Our 3D letters return to the printed page, where you can also find a text from us about spatial typography and our most current project “ABC3D”, a Blender/Cinema4D plugin that allows to animate our typefaces on paths.
