🇧🇪🧇✨The past few days have been quite a whirlwind: first, a fantastic exhibition of our recent workshop with students from ⚪️ESA St Luc Bruxelles @printlab_esastluc_bxl in downtown Charleroi, then the balancing act of hanging the flags created by students from 🟢FH Dortmund @fhdo_kd and ⚪️TH Nürnberg @fakultaet.design at the 🟢Papier Carbone Festival @papiercarbonecharleroi the result of a workshop we conducted with our friend ⚪️Kuki Iwanski @kuki.iwanski . We continued with an intensive one-day digital design workshop with students from Germany and Belgium on the theme of “Happy Future Charleroi’’ together with our friend Andreas Ruhe from @morphoria_design . This was followed by another exhibition of the posters. After that, we were finally able to unpack the MiSreen by Alex from 🟢drucken3000 @drucken3000 in Berlin and put on a proper Print and Dance session. What an intense and wonderful time with so many amazing artists and designers and those who are passionate about it. Thanks to Nicolas and Corinne 🕺🏼💃🏻 as well as the entire team at Papier Carbone. Inside Print’n’dance: The multisensory workshop at Papier Carbone @papiercarbonecharleroi Design is often seen as a static, silent process—but at Papier Carbone, we broke that mold. Introducing “Print’n’dance”—a live silkography workshop where the squeegee met the soundtrack. Alongside Lars Harmsen (@slanted_publishers ), Markus Lange @markus_lange , Andreas Ruhe (@morphoria_design , and Alex @drucken3000 , we curated an environment where music and movement were as essential to the output as the ink itself. I spent the festival at the intersection of production and performance - facilitating live screen-printing sessions for visitors while managing the energy of the space. There is a specific freedom that comes when you stop overthinking the “perfect” print and start moving with the rhythm of the squeegee. From teaching visitors the art of the pull to selling out my own limited-edition totes and shirts, the energy was electric. We’ll also be showing various publications and the @100posterbattle flags and posters from @posterrex together with our amazing students from @fhdo_kd Super excited for this one ✨ At the same time, the other part of our studio will be running the @dezain.crush pop-up exhibition in Düsseldorf.
