Wow ok cool this is happening!
From October through to February (and hopefully beyond 👀) I’m hosting a monthly residency on one of the very best community radio stations in Europe: Madrid’s very own, @relativaradio 😎
Each month, after an hour with me veering left and right within techno and UK bass, I’ll be joined by a special guest who’ll take the reins for the second hour; delivering a mix that encapsulates their unique sound and style 🫂
Extremely excited and humbled to say @all_centre , and now @woozy_dub affiliate, @mossambianand is the first of my RR residency; darting from 100bpm to north of 160, it’s a mix as eclectic and fun as it dark and piercing 🫥

When I reached out to @aucontrairetrax about demos for a Homesite release I was very happy to receive a big playlist back of tracks he’d been sitting on for a while that ranged from new stuff that was nearly finished, old stuff that was long done and loose sketches that weren’t fully formed yet.
I spent a while going back and forth, mixing and matching tracks before (Hs)(02) started to take shape and became this EP that I think captures the twists and turns of a club night 🌚
Peaks and troughs of energy contrast really nicely with a wide spread of genre influence to hopefully create something that feels super wide in its variety but with a v cohesive sound.

Veeerrrryyyyy happy to finally, finally announce the second release in the Homesite world, @aucontrairetrax – Run It. It’s a 5 track set with huge variety that’s been designed to feel like an open-to-close journey of an entire night. From screwed up dancehall and GQOM to maxi/minimalist techno and soulful house, there’s (intentionally) something for everyone. I hope you all like it as much as I do.
Premiering now via @definitepartymaterial and @iandpm , the EP’s launch single, “BIDFDLB”, grabs the tempo slider, colliding Baltimore club dynamism with techno propulsion. Its energy is direct, but constantly refracted through rhythmic variation.

(Hs)(02) Au Contraire – Run It
Marking its second release, Plot 45’s Barcelona-based imprint Homesite presents (Hs)(02) Run It, a five-track transmission from US-based artist Au Contraire that fluctuates between the realms of club futurism and stripped-back techno mechanics. Expanding on the label’s emerging identity, Run It leans into dancefloor physicality, but resistant to fixed function.

Not much to say about @mossambianand that I’ve not already said; a supremely diverse producer who’s influences know no bounds and I think that’s reflected in the sheer amount of texture, tactility, direction and expanse in this 100% production mix. It’s a different side to the more functional arm of his repertoire and yet still retains that deep immersive quality that makes his music so special. The last piece of the puzzle in his Theta Rhythm world for Homesite, enjoy.

Where to begin with Elpac – a stupidly talented producer who manages to make fast tunes sound sludgy and groovy, and slower tracks sound frenetic and full of crazy anxiety. I struggle not to play anything he makes anytime I’m playing so it felt only right to see what he might put together for this mixtape series. Wildly eclectic sounds that jump between genre and tempo, proper Bristol.

@charlie.larage is an extremely diligent and inspiring selector based between Marseille and Barcelona, whose Salt Water show on dublab.cat is one of the most wonderfully curated and profoundly inspiring programmes I’ve listened to on community radio. Been nearly a month since we let @mossambianand ’s Theta Rhythm loose and been really happy with the reception it’s received ☺️
It’s not the most important thing by any stretch but seeing names of artists and DJs I really admire enjoy the tunes and platforms I’ve followed for ages pick up the tracks for premieres is really humbling 🥲 Thanks @bluedollarbillz , @electric.shapes and @untitled909 for giving this music some air time!

A few days since release... very humbling to see and hear the reaction to @mossambianand 's Theta Rhythm EP as the inaugural Homesite release.
The two sides of the project (District Line + FTIR, Mathematics + @klahrk@djjoeleb 's FTIR Remix) are intended to be different interpretations of the same idea; something more ambient and then something heavier. Something more brightly emotional and something more aggressively emotional.
A big part of what I wanted to/want to explore with Homesite is this idea of foundations: how new and exciting musical ideas can evolve and mutate from that same starting block, and Theta Rhythm is the perfect way to start things off 🫂
We wanted to create something that could be listened through as a whole from start to finish and enjoyed as a holistic piece, as well as have tracks that could be extracted and given new context elsewhere on their own.
Rambling now, but very proud of this release, humbled that @mossambianand would allow me to put it out there, grateful that @klahrk and @djjoeleb agreed to come on board and v excited for more to come ❤️🔥
