Perc stands as one of techno’s defining figures, shaping the sound from multiple angles: as a DJ, live act and founder of the long-running Perc Trax label. His work moves between classic foundations and more experimental edges, always grounded in the physicality of the dancefloor. Decades deep, his approach remains in motion - evolving without losing focus.
For his SPANDAU20 mixtape, Perc opens up the full range of his club sound. Starting stripped back and gradually building into more percussive territory, the mix is held together by atmosphere - echoing vocals, deep pads and textures that balance weight with space.
Mixed in classic Perc style: multiple tracks running, layered with additional percussion and effects, constantly shifting and adding movement. A snapshot of where he’s at right now - direct, detailed and built for the floor.

I was not expecting to be releasing an EP so quickly after ‘Soft Launch’, but here it is and I’m very proud of this one.
These tracks poured out of me jetlagged and disorientated in hotel rooms in Europe, South America, USA and Canada.
Brief sketches whilst barely awake to capture a moment and then taken back to London polished up, beaten into shape and mixed down without ever losing the magic of the twilight moments when they were first recorded.
The vocals are by myself and heavily processed to catch the moment, rather than wait weeks to collaborate with a vocalist. This is me at my most open and raw, it’s an EP that is very much of its time, but also points the way forward for me musically.
