Hello everyone, after thinking about it for a long time and talking about it with some of my close friends, I’ve decided to start this GoFundMe to help cover the cost of a tracheal shave (Adam’s apple reduction surgery).
Many of you know parts of my story, while others may not, so I wanted to share a bit more about myself. My name is Amphia, and I’m a trans non-binary person based in Berlin. I make a living through my art - music - but like many artists, it’s not always stable, and I’m only able to cover my basic living expenses without being able to save. I also come from a working class background, which means I’m not able to rely on financial support from my family.
This surgery is not just aesthetic, it’s something deeply important for me. It would allow me to feel more aligned with myself and more confident in my body. Opening this fundraiser is currently the only way I can realistically make this happen.
I’ve already been in contact with the surgeon, and my first appointment is scheduled for May 14th, 2027. This gives me about a year to raise the funds needed to make this possible. So any kind of support means the world to me, whether it’s a donation, no matter how small, or simply sharing this post.
